Invader Zim taught me about head pigeons.

Works great for streaming, but don't expect to be able to use it to play your own video files. It *only* sees .mp4 files, and will only *play* them if they're in a very specific format. If you have a library of .mkv or .avi files, you're out of luck. Roku's streaming options fused with Western Digital's "will play any

Yeah, there's this weird fusing of terms going on here. There's only "hitting," as if there are no degrees of corporal punishment. It's like spanking no longer exists, there's only punching full-on in the face.

I assumed it was going to be something banning "Sharia Law".

Almost got one until I opened the back doors and saw that only children and people with no legs could fit back there.

That last set of missions was so damn jarring. All of a sudden, you're piloting a different ship and playing as a different character.

I got tripped up by that - I'd bought a mini-ITX board, Core i3 CPU, and memory, only to find out that ECC memory is recommended, by which they mean ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY OR DOOMSDAY WILL HAPPEN, so I never built it. I'm now leaning towards buying a NAS appliance for the simplicity, but opinions are just as zealous

He means that semiannual = every half year = 2x a year. Biannual = every two years.

Whoa, I'd totally forgotten that game existed until I looked it up a minute ago. I distinctly remember those targeting brackets and that Totally-not-a-Star-Destroyer crossing the screen. I think I played Tail Gunner more, though. So many awesome arcade machines in that era, especially the vector ones.

A good vacuum for you - not so good for the company who wants you to buy new ones every two years and design their junk to that end.

Man, it was such a big deal when people first figured out how to load those WAD files on the Amiga. It ran like molasses, but it was an FPS on the Amiga, dammit! And then the clones started... Gloom, Alien Breed 3D, Breathless, etc.

Just did that for lunch yesterday. Take a cold skillet, insert slices, slap on a lid, set burner/heating element to low/3-ish. It's not fast, but it's almost as good as fresh. It'll take 15 minutes or so; when you smell cheese browning, it's ready. Works equally well for thin crust or deep dish (for the latter, dab on

Microsoft definitely wants to make Windows Media Center go away, and that's the only game in town when it comes to CableCard tuners like the Homerun Prime or Ceton. I bought a couple Windows 7 licenses when they were on sale a couple weeks ago expressly for HTPC use. $70 for Win7, or $100 for Win8, plus another $100

Yup, HD is no problem. You don't even need a powerful home theater PC, since all you're doing is copying an mpeg2 data stream. It doesn't do on-demand or PPV, as I recall. I've never tried.

My result was a Morgan 3-wheeler, so I think it's got weird/vintage covered. It's weird, the voice in my head swears up and down that I'm not crazy.

Medical Kit by "Micheal"?

Sooooo.... I see a curious lack of consequences for the people who are still legally responsible for raising this raging id monster. I get the impression that feral hominids (genuine humans don't do that shit) like this kid were actually raised by the voices on Xbox Live. Which would explain a lot, really.

It takes at least an hour for my brain to get up to speed in the morning, but I try not to piddle around web sites for the simple reason that they're just going to be updated again later, so I'd waste even more time making the rounds a second time later in the afternoon. and maybe again in the evening. Just say no,

I dunno, this one is pretty high up here.

Newegg had a year's prepaid subscription to Adobe CC for $380 last week, a $100 markdown. Needless to say, it sold out fast.
