It must be interesting to be that stupid and not know it. Imagine the ridiculous situations he must be in every day. And have no idea. Dude can’t even breathe with his mouth closed.

Did anybody notice much difference before and after Dirt Girl did her thing?
Sometimes I actually have to remember that I’m not watching another TNG-era Trek spinoff, and not just because they’re using so many plots/heavy-handed social messages that Trek dealt in.
Ok, I have to admit, when Malloy wakes up for his shift and falls out of bed to discover his leg missing, I busted laughing out loud. The timing was perfect and knew right away what had happened.
For its first four episodes, The Orville was like breathing in thin atmosphere
Apparently doing “A Million Ways to Die in the West” with Seth didn’t kill her affection for him. I could easily see her coming back.
I agree this is the best episode so far, beating “About a Girl” by a hair. That episode had a better overall Trekkian message of equality and content of character, and the ending was the tops, but as much of it was courtroom drama it got a little dry.
So do we really think this show “strains against its FX budget,” or does it look a little cheesy because it deliberately wants to look a retro?
A couple years after Monster, they had a gag of a still of Aileen being “Rita before plastic surgery”.
The timey-wimey stuff didn’t make a ton of sense, but I thought she was just stealing because it was the equivalent of a classic car, or something.
There’s also the question of why the alien ship didn’t just follow the Orville back through the wormhole to capture it on the other side.
I feel like she just legitimately enjoys the work, likes helping out friends with their projects, and that it isn’t really about ego or maximizing $$ with her nearly as much as it is just finding parts she enjoys.
This is the first episode where I found the jokes more annoying and out of place than funny. The story was good through, the CGI is pretty good for series that doesn’t have much budget for it. An I’m never getting involve in a practical joke bet is Isic.
Let go of your internet mandated hatred, it’s not 2002 anymore. Besides if you love Trek chances are you made it through Janeway and Archer. At least Ed is supposed to lean towards the incompetent side and be a little annoying.
They changed the timeline.
Wondering if we’ll get a Neil DeGrasse Tyson guest spot since he worked with Seth on Cosmos.
“John Edgar Rust”
It amazes me how much innate kindness/understanding/compassion/intelligence we grant people in the narrative of humanity.
Why do people perpetrate online hoaxes? Why do people shoot from a 32 story building? Why do people vote for Trump? Why do people throw a kitten out of a moving car (my foster cat)? Why do people abuse loved ones? Why do people drive PT Cruisers? I just don’t know anymore. People are crazy, that’s all I got.
Never knew he witnessed a shooting as a teen himself. Of course the right are going to use his tears against him.
