I’ve said it many times - Reese gets REALLY sentimental when he thinks he’s about to die, I mean, SURE of it. He kissed Carter because he was positive he wasn’t getting out of there alive. (Hell, he nearly kissed Finch that one time he had a bomb strapped to his chest.)

The two movies are really pretty similar in terms of tone, except the The Mask is basically a kids’ movie. Kung Fu Hustle’s opening scene has a gang leader telling a woman that he doesn’t kill women, then waiting until she turns her back and blowing a shotgun hole in her. Hong Kong movies are different.
