Joule thief!

I am a member of our local Lions Club, about 3 years ago we scheduled a meeting with the elementary school principal and asked how we (as a club) could help, he sent us to go meet with the counseling office and the cafeteria manager, we worked out an arrangement with the Cafeteria manager that she feeds any kid in the

A friend of mine has Alpha-Gal Syndrome (a SEVERE red meat allergy from tick bites, which is becoming more popular) and this would have had her hospitalized, if not worse.

I know people think they’re cute and funny, commenting about indignant vegans (even so, stop lambasting people for their dietary choices), but ANY

“And if you’re a father, the most supportive thing you can do is to take your paternity leave.”

Nothing could be more American than refusing to do something that benefits other people.

“We want abortion to end” cries the ‘Moral Majority’.

I don’t even answer my phone anymore. The vast majority of calls I get are robocalls or scammers. I figure, anybody who actually does want to contact me will leave a voicemail. Yeah, it will suck if there’s some sort of emergency, but unfortunately thanks to a bunch of scammers, we can no longer have nice things.

People would come ask me questions about our drafting program (AutoCAD) and I would take the time to explain how to change the settings, style, etc as well how why those settings needed to be changed. Drove my boss nuts that i spent so much time standing around talking to

Rule of thumb to live by if you are going to drive in the city or on the expressways. Left lane is (ALWAYS) driving 20-30 miles over the speed limit. Yup. If the speed limit is 55mph, you can bet

Agreed on the Lou’s. Gino’s East is my second. Giordano’s can fight me.

If you are commuting from Union Station or Ogilvie Station and you need to go to Michigan Avenue, there is a much better way then going by bus or train. Take the Chicago Water Taxi. Its a very relaxing and affordable way to get to work. You also get great views of many buildings a long the water front.

Learn the grid - State & Madison, in the Loop are the 0/0 from which all directional coordinates originate. Each 100 increment is 1/8 of a mile, major streets are every 1/2 mi. Knowing the coordinates or address you’re at can help quickly determine where you are in the city. And learn the major roads and order in the

"Getting over it" is always an option when you pay full price to receive an inferior product, but it's nice to have other options too.
