Cool, let’s tell everyone to stop buying things. That’ll surely boost the economy.

Counterpoint, driving the freeway sounds way better than looking at it on a map.
I agree with you, my baby falls asleep while driving similarly in our electric car and our ICE car, so in our case, it's not engine noise. If she has only just fallen asleep, she’ll occasionally wake up at long lights. It’s the vibrations and/or road noise that does the trick.
I came across this same method several years ago, and it works for me nearly every time. But those first few seconds of brain freeze before acting are excruciating. I’ll try to be more mindful of chilling parts of my mouth.
ComEd has provided Kill-a-Watt meters to the libraries in my metropolitan area for checkout for the past few years.
I've been using a Sno Shield that I picked up at Menards a couple years ago because it was cheap enough to try out (http://www.menards.com/main/tools-har…, http://www.amazon.com/Custom-Accesso…). When I remember to use it, it works great at keeping off the morning frost, which I'd say is even more annoying than…
Get an electric car?
I was hoping to also see a suggestion on how to store the eggs after you purchase them/before you eat them in this scenario. In a dorm there's presumably a mini fridge, but in a hotel room that's not always the case. Would you chill them in the ice bucket? I've also heard eggs can go without refrigeration for a period…
Chipotle is doing some great things with being a more responsible restaurant, and so I don't mind paying a little more to support their efforts.
I saw this over the weekend and liked it so much that I went out, picked up the parts and made it same day. I tweaked it a little too make it my own, and I need to put on finishing touches (varnish, mount the pi), but it looks great!
When we grill burgers or brats, we start out using the grill like an oven to cook frozen tater tots in a grill skillet or a foil packet filled with diced red/yellow potatoes, chopped onions salt, pepper, and a bit of olive oil. I've found it best to leave the burners under the potatoes off, letting the other burners…
The cap bit of the ribeye is my favorite. Thanks for the video, I might just try breaking down a larger ribeye like that.
Only one bank was willing to accommodate my request to have account number 1234567, which makes it easy to remember my password of the same number that I use everywhere. :)
Maybe by bringing attention to it, Target will correct its policy and practices. Granted, corporate execs may not be keeping their eyes on Lifehacker articles, but he's doing what he can.
Recently I took off the doors of the foyer coat closet and made a built-in bench to sit on while putting on shoes. It's still sort of a closet, but more of a nook now.
After reading a lot of the comments here, whether or not you think it's "right" to be responsible for paying part of your server's wages by leaving a tip, it's the custom that's been integrated into law via minimum wage standards. If you don't want to tip, eat at places that don't have servers, just counter staff. I'm…
Then Washington is a great place to be a server. But here in Illinois, the minimum wage when tips are involved is much lower, like the commenter in Maryland stated.
I had a graphics card that quit working, but I never threw it away. When another started falling a few years later I determined the dinky cooling fan was the problem, and I was lucky enough that the old card's fan fit the current card's fan's footprint. So a little bit of new thermal paste later I had a working card…
The basic recipe for a simple syrup is one part sugar added to one part water. It's just making liquid sweetener, use as little or as much of the batch as you want in your drink at a time.
My future MIL makes a delicious salad using massaged kale, along with mango, pumpkin seeds and more. She's also into kale chips.
