Volvo S90 - for when you want to look classy but sound like you drive a Nissan Sentra - ooh that 4 cyl buzz in your $50k car. How rewarding.
Great point on camera angles. Hollywood can make slow cars look fast so surely the technology is there to make fast cars look fast!
Yep totally agree. I actually find shuffle board championship tv far more exciting. To put this in context, I’ll watch most car races but FE is just so massively underwhelming. I could barely watch Rosberg trying out the GEN 2 car.
So where is the best ROI for marketing for car manufacturers today then?
Part of what you say is true but I think F1 can survive just fine if the FIA corrects course. If not, then I would agree with you on all of your points. Manufacturers have always left and come back when it’s suited them. I think a good scare like Mercedes leaving might wake the FIA up and force them to get a grip.…
Lots to digest here:
Doug has one for you:
For every one person like you who says that about a 2dr short model, there’s another bunch that would say the opposite and then another bunch who’d say ‘it needs wood bench seats, wind up windows, have a weak 1 litre diesel and 3 speed manual to feel fully authentic.....’.
Well you know what they say - ‘you go first and lead by example’
Poor relationships with your family members I take it? Sorry to hear that buddy.
Are there any first hand stories of what it was like to actually try to sell cars during this period?
Fingers crossed that’s just a base spec model and that there’s a proper V8 model on the horizon too.
Is it true that the new Dodge Charger\Challenger will be based on or a re-badged 508?
They’re money makers though. Cops sit in the parking lot nearby and watch for anyone who doesn’t come to a complete stop.
Sounds like the Land Cruisers method :
Nissan \ Renault alliance potential failiure might mean a cosy up with BMW and therefore this could be built on the BMW Z4 platform maybe! The Z always had a straight 6 right?!
Well I’d have thought that an F150 would need more expensive hybrid tech etc in order to help it get to 35mpg. Is it really likely that a setup of this nature would have no cost increases?
Augmented vtec just kicked in yo!
