That’s true but.... Grosjean has one ‘best day’ a year whereas hulk is massively more consistent.

Because there are actually some people out there who enjoy the experience of spending 60k at a crappy dealership with damp stained ceiling tiles sitting beside Kia Rios with pink and yellow balloons floating over their heads. It’s a unique experience that Kia is very successful at.
Totally agree. When they announced that they were keeping their driver lineup and not going for one of the better options (Hulk?) then I knew they’re not serious or just completely blind to their problems.
Well they’ve also missed massive opportunities due to Kmag and Grosjean ether hitting each other, others or spinning off under the safety car. Their driver pairing is terrible. If they even just replaced one of them (Kmag) with Hulkenberg they’d do a lot better.
If Ford had not announced it’s intent to stop making this car, the Jalop headline would’ve read like this:
How have you enjoyed the Bolt? I keep toying with the idea of getting one.
Aren’t the new Ininiti and Merc SUV’s mostly the same vehicles now except for the GLS? I’m pretty sure they use the same 3.0 turbo V6's and if you look closely, the steering wheels and infotainment etc are the same units.
I used to think that too but then I saw all the people driving Mercedes with the engine from a Renault van (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_M282_engine) and realized they either know this and don’t care thinking others wont know or they actually really don’t know which is a crazy thought when spending that…
Well I learned that Honda still sells the Insight! I had no idea!
That’s not remotely comparable. The current F1 engines have heavily limited fuel flow rates which seriously limits the power they can produce. Additionally the engines have to last SEVEN races (qualifying and race). The focus on reliability has a big impact on power figures.
I think the point he is clearly making is that there are many use cases where vehicles are needed that are not EV - such as outside suburbia. F1 technology does a good job of making those types of vehicles far more efficient than they are now. That’s what I understood from his point and it makes sense to me.
That was for one-time use during qualifying. They weren’t running at that level for all sessions for multiple races with the exact same engine. Likewise, they didn’t have tiny fuel flow rates. There’s so much difference between now and then that I think you need to go read up on F1 history.
Is the Charger any good? I hear so much criticism about it because it’s ancient but not any real info about what it’s like to own. Given that the next model will be based on a Peugeot 508 and therefore no more V8's, now might be a good time to grab a great deal I would think.
The primary driver behind the big spend is a result of the new regs and setting up all of the new technologies (newer wind tunnels etc) before all the new limits kick in. Not being able to spend it next year is a factor but I doubt their main concern. I’m sure in 3 yrs if they need a new wind tunnel again there are…
Happens EVERY time there’s a massive rule change. Also, the gap in performance will spread between the teams, the heads of the FIA will scratch their heads and say how did this happen where one team (maybe 2) has a huge advantage, embark on NEW rules proposals for 2030, by which time the performance gap will have…
yep along with ‘I’ve got someone coming in to see this in an hour so you’ll need to act fast’. Yeh sure!
What state is this persons lungs in I wonder. It’s bad enough to be smoking in the first place but add in all the chemicals from the freshener and you’d wonder about their state of health.
Well he did let Tamara do it! I think!
How do you like the Bolt? I’ve been considering it for a while.
So you need two ranges listed then:
