Totally agree. Every time you’d start up that 4 cyl turbo with the wheezing, ticking and whirring sounds of a stressed out engine dreading the day ahead, you’d say to yourself ‘sigh, I could’ve had that V8....’!

Well maybe that 911 impedes another driver in a much smaller car. Lets say that other person lives in London and is in some micro car and they cant see over or around that 911. The logic would be the same. The reality is that in this life there will always be things that inconvenience us or things we don’t like. That

If you were a short person all of say 4ft tall would you be calling for people to stop wearing high heels because you couldn’t see over them? When people around you are happy, does it annoy you because your anger at life can’t diminish their happiness? Here’s a tip - it’s not all about YOU.

Ah so that’s the nut of it - you don’t like them so therefore they shouldn’t have them. You should’ve just been honest about it instead of masquerading as some sort of idealist. Same old story every time.

Its because he’s a lazy thinker basically. I agree entirely with your point by the way.

Here we go again - needs vs wants. Tough to comprehend right? People buy them because they WANT Them. Do you feel this strongly about Camaros\Corvettes etc cruising around and not being used on race tracks? Do you see someone in a North Face jacket and scream inside that they should only wear those jackets if taking

For the door keypad, it looks to me like it really was an after-thought since the Australian models where it was designed (I could be wrong on this) doesn’t have it. RHD drivers door below with no keypad.

Possibly because it was designed (I think) in Australia where they don’t use the key code and so it literally was added as an after-thought in the USA.

While sounding wheezy and out of breath and having the handling prowess of a damp squib. Yep I’ll be right there!

‘Tis a sad day indeed. We’ll miss the good ol’ days of racing through the gears snickedy snick in a 3500 Ram Diesel. Good ol’ days.

I was thinking EXACTLY the same thing. The amount of coverage they have got from Jalopnik surely is equal to or more than what they’re getting from Haas F1. I’m even considering getting some myself just to see what all the hysteria is about.

They did a better job than Rolls Royce did on their SUV. Rolls somehow managed to make theirs look like a Chinese knock off of a real model somewhere. This Kia though just absolutely nails the styling.

I’ve noticed this trend recently too. There was a recent X5 article and they made it sound like they were test driving the titanic - OMG the sheer SIZE OF THIS THING. It’s like they just stumbled out of Italy surrounded by tiny cars and these mid size SUV’s are the first vehicles they saw. The level of exaggeration is

Agreed on the Telluride. I was following one the other day and it looked gorgeous. It’s the first Kia that I’ve ever actually desired to have.

Plus disposing of them. Maybe the plan is to ship them all on a cargo ship to the Philippines!

The point is, new technology creates new industries which creates new opportunities so instead of looking at robots as something to resist, it could be an opportunity to develop new skills etc.

If more robots are getting implemented to take over factory workers auto jobs then doesn’t that mean there’s more need for people to build\maintain\service robots? I.E - get into robot manufacturing\servicing maybe in some shape for form.

With all of these articles all over the place, I suspect their ROI is better then Monster with Mercedes or Redbull at this point. Mission complete you could almost say.

3rd gear - are they doing this to make space for their new ‘GranTurismoxDriveCoupepickupconvertibleAMG’?!

I think you’re on the wrong site mate. It’s implied in your statement that we should be willing to give up driving because it’s inevitable. Car enthusiasts by nature DESIRE to drive and like the idea of having the freedom to drive in the future.
