“So here in America it feels like it’s only a matter of time before gas prices shoot up again ”. Feels like I’ve been reading this for a good 5 years or more now. If someone bought a big engined truck\SUV 5 years ago and ignored this advice, they’d likely have it paid off by now and be ahead of the pack. I’m ready to

Bottom line is this - professional ex racing drivers and current racing drivers all agree mostly that the halo is a concern for them in the event of a car going upside down. I think I’ll take their word for it.

Yes I think you’re one of the very few of us that actually watches it! I sometimes wonder how these others ended up on this site at all in the first place.

Technically that’s not correct. The roll protection in an F1 car ensures that won’t happen unless the car dug into a sand trap.

Now playing

In lieu of decent car coverage on this site and for a break from politics, check this YT channel out. It’s one of my new favs. I’m stunned at the generally great condition of these cars.

First time I’ve heard of a ton of cash on the hood of an LS. What kind of deals are you seeing out there?

Oh piss off with the tariffs. Everyone and their dog on this site has been moaning about people not buying enough sedans and buying suvs instead. This isnt new news. Incase you just popped out from under a rock, Ford announced theyll stop selling sedans too. This is down to a change in demand by the buying public.

Yep true. Plus add in the fact that all\many ‘small’ cars are getting bigger anyway and the size between the classes becomes negligible - Fusion to Taurus for example.

So is this GM’s way of ‘doing a Ford’ and stopping all or most sedan production? I would think this will get a lot worse media coverage than Ford’s method of communicating the change in direction for the company.

Couldn’t we say the same for ALL sedans\hatches these days? Think about it. A normal Ford Fusion now has as much tech and close enough to a Merc. Naturally their prices have crept up accordingly. Not many of them are ‘affordable’ cars to get you from A to B any more like they were originally intended. It’s no wonder

That’s what I thought too plus maybe they’ll put it in the Tahoe\Suburban etc?

Is it possible they’ll sell it to some other manufacturer to be used in some sports car? Also, is this the one meant for the new Corvette?

Yes, full of all the peoplekind.

Yep you nailed it. Selling their ‘souls’ while money to be made. Long term, it won’t turn out well.

Nailed it. They’ve been getting away with it for so long and apparently no one cares. I don’t get it. Then a leader comes along and tries to tackle them in some shape or form and he’s slammed for it. I’m not saying tariffs are the best way to do this but it’s SOMETHING. According to the media and other contributors on

Windshield wipers. I thought I was the only one! Closely related to clean smooth class! Also, I can’t stand cars where the wipers stick up awkwardly on the passenger side and don’t sit flush at the bottom of the windshield. A bit like this:

Shh, you’ll confuse him with facts.

Awesome article. We need WAY more of this please.

Is that river patrolled by the coast guard because of the border? Can you go back and forth across the river easily? How does that all work? I’m not American so genuinely asking out of curiosity.
