The stoichiometric delta of MJ/kg for E0 and E100 is only 0.13 MJ/kg. It is common to consider the basic (unmixed) energy/volume when considering cost/gal but if we are talking MPG the value for the stoich air mixture may be good to consider. As mentioned E10 to E15 will only result in a slight change in energy…
For the record, I think corn base ethanol is dumb but there is not an alternative ethanol on the market in the US so I run it.
Also, we seem to be missing that E85 is generally cheaper than E10 Regular and when compared to Premium (IMO, a more realistic like:like) we do see a consumer savings near disparity of MJ/kg.…
