These people.

I just...with the pretend cultural elitism, and the...I...bah.

Frankly, you wouldn't know that LA was on the verge of bankruptcy or that NYC was a fucking shithole before the 80's. All cities have ups and downs; to assume that where you move to or were birthed at somehow makes you a special snowflake is as

I've looked at uber a few times now and they're always overpriced. I have yet to see a time when they're cheaper than a regular taxi. Consequently, I've removed their app from my phone. Overpriced and overrated.

Driving on ice and snow is a big risk. Why shouldn't the surge price reflect the risks involved and potential added costs?

And here I am about to walk across town for an hour to my car in the cold because I am too cheap to spend $2.50 on the bus.

I live on Portage St. a few blocks east. Hill nearly as steep. Went to take a photo of the utility pole and snow pile across from my house that has seen many a descending (and once an ascending car) embanked. Instead I looked out my front door and saw we got about 8" over night and I have to re-clear my driveway, so I

Yes! I lived a few blocks from this spot! Winters in the Keweenaw are not for the faint of heart, I used to commute to work/school on one of these.

That's part of why Rally America and NASA are getting so many foreign drivers, the regulations are way looser. No homologation requirements, you're good to go so long as you're no more than 3100 cc (5100 if naturally aspirated), A and B pillars, floor pan, and firewall are all stock, and if you're running in Open AWD

Baja Galaxie is pretty unique.

As an owner of an r107 I absolutely live these rally cars. The roar of its v8 accompanied with crazy and heavy sideways action is just so cool, and so out of place at the same time.

Rally for the Lane Museum a couple years ago, this was our car...

Good choice. In true MB fashion, these things had slushboxes. Not even a sophisticated one either; it was a 3-speed that could with withstand all kinds of abuse. It worked well for them.

How about this?

Amen to that. That goes for several racing series, F1 has the same issues...

Citroen DS rallye:

Can't believe this isn't here yet. BEST RALLY CAR EVAR!!

Back in 2004 when Peugeot decided to replace the aging 206 WRC, they surprisingly chose to base their new rally car on the 307 CC. Why? Who knows..

MB was actually the first brand to go CRAZY for WRC. While the FIAT group had quite some activity since the beginnings (500 Abarth, Stratos, 131 Abarth, etc), MB possibly spent the most money of all while getting pretty poor results considering their investment
Remember, rallying in the 70s, modifications were small

Can I just put this here...

I have a few...
· The Rolls-Royce and the Renault Kangoo 4x4 that raced the Dakar rally
· The 911 GT3 and Vantage GT4 in the Spanish tarmac rally series
· The 350Z in Belgium or somewhere around that
What the Hell are you thinking when you consider these 5 cars as rally-racing machinery!?
