Because if you’ve got a reliable old truck and a temperamental Italian supercar in the garage, which would you rather try to keep running?

The B-52's are here to stay because they’re like old Jeeps; reliable and simple, and plenty adequate for their straightforward missions. The B2's, the F117's, the SR71's are the Ferraris; cutting edge performance, but quickly outdated and horribly difficult to maintain.
Right, because it’s the Democrats proposing we offer amnesty to everybody and anybody covered under DACA. Wait, no, that’s not right...hmm...
‘Toxic’ immigration debate, eh? It’s really starting to look like you’d rather continue using the ‘dreamers’ as political pawns rather than actually give them amnesty.
...aaand that’s your takeaway? Cool.
I guess they figured he wouldn’t need brakes either...?
I was floored by that - hugely impressive!
Not really, snookums...
If all that’s true then Nunes has A LOT of explaining to do, but none of that has been proven yet - let’s not put the cart before the horse.
He said he personally didn’t read the whole thing, not that he’s never even laid eyes on it. Now the story is “there might have been a footnote” so we’ll see where that goes.
It was TNG - here’s a link to an episode description http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Darmok_(episode)
Do you have a source for this revelation from Nunes? It seems Schiff(D) has made a claim to that effect, but google news search shows nothing from Nunes (or any other R’s).
That’s a difference in kind, not a difference of degree (though certainly a difference in the number of degrees of separation between you and the source information....).
I say it’s unrelated to the Trump/Russia investigation because that investigation was already underway. As such, undermining this warrant would have no undermining effect on the Trump/Russia investigation. Full stop.
I am looking at the entire picture as it is available. When the Democratic response becomes not classified, I’ll give that some consideration too. How do you not realize this is not a closed case?? EVERYBODY is still taking this as it comes, yet you respond as if I’ve made some final, inflexible judgement against the…
TL;DR (just kidding)
“ trying to shut down an accusation against you kinda makes you look extra guilty, turns out.” that actually applies perfectly to the release of the memo itself - a desperate attempt to try and shut down the russia accusations against Trump.
I’m not criticizing you for not having read the warrant, I’m criticizing you for assuming its contents - those are very different things. If you’d had some intelligence committee members informing your decisions who have read the FISA application (like Nunes does), maybe your conjecture would’ve been a little more…
TL;DR... I’ll just take that as “no, I haven’t read the warrant because it’s classified, I just love conjecture.”
