No Norfolk Southern says that is policy. Nothing in that says below 170 is normal operation. Normal operation, if I am reading the charts I am looking at correctly, for full load bearings at 60mph is somewhere between 55 degrees above ambient and 99 degrees above ambient.

We have a Buick, nothing other than the engine turns off with the auto stop/start. The heat/ac/heated seats all keep doing their thing with the car in off mode.  So not sure what the OP was talking about.

Can you imagine if early cars had fake “clopidy-clop clop-clopidy-clop” sounds to make fake horsey sounds? Whatever comforts people who are terrified of change, I guess.

No.

1. Fake gas engine sound on an EV is dumb and will always be dumb

Not even that. Fake engine noises are shameful. If you want the sound of a CBX, get a CBX - otherwise you don’t deserve it.

I still don’t mind the idle and low speed noise, EV’s really should have that, but the fake rev’ing noise is stupid.

I’ll take “Fragile Masculinity for 1000" Mayim.

My god this is dumb.

I never much cared for dogs. That is, until I inherited one through marriage. Of course, over time I grew to love that furry friend nearly more than my wife, and we became inseparable.

Oooh, another one!:

Do in laws count? Mine are great in almost every respect - I have very little to complain about - they’re kind, considerate, welcoming people. But when I’m driving with my FIL it pushes me to the brink of madness. And a little beyond.

Malaise era American Cars.

I want to drop a Spark EV motor/transmission/battery into a Volkswagen Rabbit Pickup.

Further evidence of why people should Baja all vehicles. It even makes a Nissan look good.
