I’ve only ever seen the portal axles on the really early stuff, IIRC it was because they were still using Kubelwagen parts for both the type 1 Beetle and type 2 vans.

On the early busses, they were standard, given the small engines and large payload sizes.

RAM I6 Cummins Turbo Diesel. Full stop.

The best things come in twos.

If you think portal axles are equivalent to a lift kit, maybe you don’t know what portal axles are?

Two things can be bad at the same time

I feel like no homologation special really counts, because it was done for a good reason even if the road car was a turd.

The 1988 Trump edition Cadillac Brougham limo. Released at a time that nobody was buying limos, it was basically a grift. Trump didn’t order the large batch he was supposed to and instead just bought enough for personal use.

Ford Harley Davidson F-150

I think a tartan kilt would go really well with that color scheme, and give everyone something with a little more range of motion and breathability vs. a pencil skirt.

I understand what your saying, but the standard is what is defining what is reasonably dangerous. This isn’t GM knowingly hiding the ignition switch issue. Or VW cheating on emissions tests. Ford said “here is the standard that we need to meet for the F150, and here is the standard for the F250/350, and we are going

I 100% believe that Ford intentionally cheapened the roof structure on their super duty trucks.

Goatsemate!

40,000 mile sounds too soon, but even the older VW TDI’s with no DEF system, still needed their intake manifold and intercooler flushed out every now and then. It’s a diesel thing.

“We have 90,000 people in line to get a Hummer.”

And replace them with what? Tesla vaporware? I understand that there are companies working in this electric truck space and making charging more efficient... But this timeline seems really aggressive. Honestly if this were feasible nationwide… I’d be 100% on board just so I don’t have to hear Jake brakes non stop. I

Starting at 1 minute and 17 seconds of that video, you see the cop car pull towards the house, and you see two people ***slowly*** get out of the pickup truck and start walking towards the door of the house. One of them has something in his hand but his hand is lowered at his side and he is walking away from the cop

Something something thin blue line something keeping us safe

I understand where they’re coming from and all that, but this is pants-on-head stupid.

How long can the system operate when hooning? Seems most of these part time drive cant handle the heat and put you in limp mode
