Ford specifically seems guilty of this.  Adding a metal plate to the existing body work just to emboss it.  Embossing the bumper cover or the wing or what have you is fine, but why add a plate on top of the existing body just to stamp it when you could just stamp the existing panel?

Maybe people aren’t buying the new Silverado because its fuck ugly.

But does adding an entire backplate just to deboss it really count?
