Except that A LOT of people are already paying for the “safety” features like lane departure warnings and etc that adds more than $1000 to the cars as a option.

I learned to drive in 1975. I learned on a 1969 Ford Falcon, drove my brother’s 1972 Ford Capri now and then, but did most of my driving in a 1971 Ford station wagon. I bought my first new car — a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am.

I’ll have to try this out.

Correct. In orange.

Always and forever.

No. 240Z with the 5-speed. Only americans got the 4-speed... Here they were all 5-speed from the factory.

The best Datsun was the Datsun you bought when you were sixteen.

The 240Z, of course. With the 4-speed.

The only drawback is you need to buy a new one about year or so as the wires going into the 3.5 mm jack tend to wear out.

KM18 Plus. Now with On/Off button. $24.99

I like it, but it needs a damn off switch!

Add a multi tool to the duct tape and you can fix anything

Oh, I don’t know, maybe this fun little thing. I bet that no one else has one, because I rarely see it being used on the roads ever. Oh, by the way, this is probably the first time some of you have seen this, but it’s used for turning. It activates the turn signals. Isn’t that fantastic?!

USB cigarette lighter chargers. Godsend on long road trips, and if you have a passenger also needing charging, the two-port ones are great.

A classy correction compared to his kinda shitty comment. Well done and thanks for this article.

His point about non-linear throttles is accurate, but not really relevant. Almost all new cars use throttle by wire and the ECU can very easily linearize the throttle response or otherwise tailor it to however they want it to respond. Also, even older cable actuated throttles had an eccentric that would at least slow
