...But seriously, I can see the “drag is a bad thing” angle.

Amazing Photoshop, questionable taste.

These lines just aren’t working for me.

I, for one, embrace our new 3-ton overlords.

..........What.

Ouch, this really doesn’t translate well at this scale. Larger scales translate better, generally speaking.

Inspired by arcadey racing games, I thought that maybe replacing the standard gas and brake pedals with a “go forwards, slow down going backwards” pedal and a “go backwards, slow down if going forwards” pedal would be a good idea. A few years of commuting have shown me exactly how bad of an idea that would be.

Instead of seeing a face, I saw a squatting figure with a horrible kink in their legs. Cannot unsee.

Not sure why there’s a video of NFS Most Wanted stuck to this great song...

Born and buried.

HOLY SHIT, COOL.

Hot damn, nice screen integration. Also, nice steering wheel.

Massive screens? Uh, no thanks.

COTD.

I’m curious as to what backup cameras and such would count as. I’ve seen good and bad examples (mostly good), but it should never get to the point where you REQUIRE a camera to see behind the vehicle.

“Go away Xbox Turn Off!...Oh crap.” *poof*

Also: SUVs. Tons of SUVs.

I too enjoy overusing bold text.

(I agree with the sentiment, though.)

I love reading your articles Torch, but you’re wrong. Analog gauges allow you to read the change in that reading in relation to time without any kind of lag or any kind of confusion in regard to how a given gauge work. In your mock-up (which is actually really nice), it’d be unclear exactly what a vehicle’s current

There’s a good reason that To Catch A Car used to be a thing, and that’s it.
