So it dances, has creepy eyes, and pretends to have sex with women. They’ve invented Michael Jackson!

Yes, and so will every hacker :-)

Yeah, but does it spell something cool when you turn it upside down like 5318008?
It was the same, Luke saw the Rey-Kylo projection clear as day in the hut. That was where he got the idea from. And we get that it’s takes up a lot of energy, hence the collapse. No need for him to die because of it though, with him being a Skywalker-bloodline Jedi Master and saving up the necessary mana living like a…
It’s a good thing he stopped to give Leia those fake, projected dice, given that the exertion was apparently killing him. Seems like if the Cruiser had gone out of it’s way to get KFC drive thru while running out of gas in front of Snoke’s ship, but hey, it was great for the fans watching in the theater.
I have, but this is still one of the best scenes in Star Wars. It is amazing how the three duels Luke goes through are very different, show Luke in a different state in his life and are amazingly well done in all three scenarios.
I don’t personally agree there. I think it could have been an interesting diversion from the formula: rather than kill the old mentor character, keep him around to change the dynamic. Have him be an active participant, both in combat and as a propagranda symbol for the Resistance. Have him fly with Poe in 9. Have him…
You’re using an in-universe explanation to defend the writing. It could have been written differently, that’s what we’re saying.
He surely will. I’m hoping it’s a more substantial role than telling Rey she needs to rebuild the Jedi. I’m hoping that he seriously messes with Kylo’s head throughout the movie.
I’m betting that he will be back as a force ghost.
Exactly how I feel. It felt like a lame mark on a check list, like they had to kill Luke off in this one, even though he could have been a welcome presence in the final installment of the Skywalker saga. Give him the peaceful, fading into the Force set to the Binary Sun soundtrack death he deserves... but do it in…
Still no good reasons why Luke should’ve died at the end. Do the ghost trick - Brilliant. Die afterwards for no damn reason. - Lame.
I think as time is passing, people are starting to revise their opinion as WW being merely an okay movie in an awful cinematic universe.
Regarding the casting in Ghost in the Shell: I think a distinction should be made between “Asian fans” and “Asian-American fans.” Consider the following notes on the casting criticism (from Wiki; emphasis mine in case of tl;dr):
I get that Wonder Woman was important for plenty of socio-political reasons, but it was just such a ho-hum movie to me. Gal Gadot in particular was a total bore as WW.
Totally saw that ending coming. Was furious when it was confirmed.
Kylo and Rey’s fight against Snokes “Red Ronin” suffers from the rule of cool. It also proves that Kylo really isn’t in his grandfather’s league. Vader would have just picked them up with the Force and thrown them around the room or hit them with debris torn from the walls, like he did to Luke in The Empire Strikes…
De Hann fucking sucks the life out of everything.
