I always thought it was weird how pretty much only Subaru and Porsche use this engine setup today.

You could have shortened this up quite a bit.

Free beating included.

That crazy long timing belt gives me the heebie jeebies.

I think Star Wars is an interesting example as we can’t really talk about it in the same way as other sci-fi films... or other films full stop. Star Wars, irrespective of any genuine quality, has embedded itself so deeply into our culture that you can’t not see it. I mean, it does have many excellent qualities, but

I assume Jake Gyllenhaal is busy?

You fine with paying $12 to $15 for that empty experience? Movies nowadays have to be firing on all cylinders to convince people to bother seeing them at all.

That’s all very nice except:

I don’t know; personally, I find an emphasis on visuals over story to be a tad infantilising nowadays. It takes an entire universe and sidesteps any truly sophisticated elements to give us something colourful to coo over for a bit. And maybe that’s fine for some people, but I want more films that use amazing visuals

Isn’t that essentially a creationist argument? Not to detract from your right to believe what you want, and how you want, but isn’t the whole premise of your argument that the universe works how it works because it was /designed/ that way? In which case, it’s not really a strong reasoning. It accounts for everything

You mean immoral. A dog is amoral. A human is immoral.

How is it more logical? I mean, by most standards, the creation story could be interpreted as the birth of a simulation instead of physical reality.

“police officers showed up on the scene after receiving multiple phone calls from other party goers who’d seen the Joker’s gun...”

This. Simulation theories always run into the same problem as God theories... you’re just kicking the can down the road.

Of course simulation can explain everything including dragons! But thats the easy way out. My question to you is that even if our universe is a simulation, the ones who created/running the simulations, dont they face the same questions/mysteries of physics that we do? how do you explain their existence? Maybe through

Forget encryption for a minute... this would be the ideal “subspace communication” of Star Trek scenario.

Actually, it's self-depricating. I fly US for business so I GET UPGRADED FROM COACH because I have platinum status. So, yes, I'm one of those "any schmucks" who apparently doesn't have a stick in his ass like some of the other insecure schmucks in coach.

Domestic First in the US is not the same as international first.

Holy shit I would never fly with them again. I expect to be well fed and comfortable during all portions of my journey when I put up 10k for a flight ticket.

Ha, was about to say. I fly first class with US Airways probably about 40 times a year and never get lounge access for free. I'm sure many other people would've thought of that if any other airline just gifted lounge access to any schmuck who got upgraded to first.
