@burninfidels: Nah, monsters are really new in their own way. It just hasn't been implemented. Server files come with monsters set to false (off), with a note stating that its for experimenting only. I had it on for a while with my server, and they just got in the way. With them off though, if you hear a monster…

@burninfidels: You can get TNT. If you dig around enough (read: a lot), you'll hit a cave with a treasure chest (usually monsters spawn at them, even if the server has them off). The chest usually has pig saddles, bow string, bread, and gunpowder.

@Greetings-I-come-from-afar: I'll second this, as I just tried it and went cross eyed. My laptop is four years old though, which goes along with silvermoonstar3's comment.

I really enjoyed this last year. Can't wait to see what's on deck.
