Is "hoola hoop" some kind of neologism? I've only ever heard "hula" (like the dance), and it would seem Wikipedia's in the same boat.

There's nothing wrong with using a tool (Wikis, encyclopedias, etc.) to learn something, but it's important to be willing to test your knowledge from time to time (and you never had to use any atlas with Carmen Sandiego, did you? I don't remember it being a requirement for anything other than the level-up questions,…
Yeah, but that's like cheating in Carmen Sandiego. Google searches make trivia games, well, trivial, unless you're willing to hold yourself to not cheating.
I got one that was right in the middle of easily-identifiable Busch Gardens. That one got me a ton of points. Of course, that was followed up with nowheresville, Canada, so then there's that.
With a movie introduction pretty much defined by text, it's pretty surprising that they were just like "Yep, that's the Star Wars title font. Now let's slap it on all the text."
"Man at Arms' Tony Swatton"
And have you ever microwaved/toasted PB&J? It's the best version of the sandwich.
There's a lot of "how-to" material on the internet WRT tech-related skills, and because of that, you'll usually find that searching for specific things versus vague things will net you better results. I don't know of any specific hubs of PS tutorials, but you'll likely get better results if you look for tutorials for…
We're all dreaming here anyway, but if they did X-Wing, I'd almost prefer Allston to Stackpole. I love X-Wing and what Stackpole did with it, but Corran Horn was a bit of a Mary Sue and Allston does a lot better writing character interactions.
Yeah, to add to the chorus, there was 100% fewer Dr. Jackson than I expected to see.
Is there one at all? I haven't found it.
I never took issue with criticism, only with cynicism. You're making an assumption of intent (on both the creator's part, and, at this point, on mine). My criticism of your tack is that in making a criticism, you're extending beyond impartiality and assuming the worst of people.
I haven't argued that "Calvin peeing on a Ford logo is a good thing." (And besides that, if I'd successfully argued that, I don't think we'd be having this conversation.) What I've said is that it's a good thing that things like that don't affect the quality of Watterson's work. I think that's it's great that people…
On the subject of cynicism, aren't your thoughts on the matter a little cynical?
I pressed "publish" once and it publishes twice. Super-duper.
O.
Adams teaches a QA class for the M.S. degree, but he's basically a psychology professor. His background (which is more pertinent than the class he teaches) is human factors psychology.

Yeah, that wouldn't be a problem if I weren't flat-out refused purchase when I couldn't have my ID scanned in.
