Either there's fewer Shoney's in the South as of the past few years or they've gotten less aggressive with their highway advertising, as I used to see more Shoney's billboards than "SEEKING AN ABORTION? CALL FOR HELP" signs during my travels through Tennessee and Georgia and can't exactly say that's the case anymore.

Yeah, I'm fairly certain (based on all the road trips I've taken through the Midwest and Southeast in the past few years) that Waffle Houses don't go any farther north than Indianapolis nowadays.
