I'm so sorry for the spelling error.

This doesn't pan out. Look at the Dutch squad. Yes, you have Robben and RvP who are really great players, but then after that you have nothing but journeymen, some kids, and semi-retired players like Dirk Kuyt and Schneider. The English team is far and away better than that squad, but they don't play like a team. They…
This is the best summary of what's wrong with England right now that I've read. It doesn't blame anything other than the tactics and attitude of the team, and it while it uses specific examples it doesn't scapegoat anybody specific. The most surprising thing is that it was written by an Englishman.
This is the logical equivalent of saying "I'm not hitting you, I'm just swinging my arms and moving, it's your own fault if you get in the way."
I agree with you, but it's there to encourage teams to play progressively rather than sit on a draw. US is rewarded by scoring more goals.
On the other hand, 10:30 AM is prime boning time for couples on vacation who got too drunk to have sex the night before, as well as European tourists who haven't adjusted time zones yet.
I'm not against Uber, as long as they compete fairly. I'm not crazy about having Uber as the only game in town (which is their stated goal) and suddenly deciding to raise prices at-will. The reason New York has a far, far, far better taxi system than DC or Boston or San Francisco is because of TLC regulations.
Sorry, f'real. That's black, right? It sounds black.
This is awesome, Greg. Really glad Deadspin is paying you for real.
Yeah, I'm not trying to be picky, more just pick on the Dutch.
Oh good, glad to see that we've adopted the English mantra of establishing the "we're doomed to lose, so if we win, it's a fluke" narrative before any games happen. Now you can't be wrong no matter what happens!
These are teams that at one point or another over the last eight decades crested the pile and held on
If the USA is going to play a diamond midfield, which they have been, that means Donovan is going to have to play as a forward of some kind.
That's definitely true. Mourinho has long been regarded as someone who can get the best out of people, but lately it seems that's been at the cost of alienating others.
It doesn't make sense to expect a title — if you're only shelling out 150m. That will get you maybe one decent midfielder and a couple defenders. And when one of those defenders is reportedly a 30m left-back, that's even worse.
Seems pretty ballsy when you consider that Mourinho is right. Chelsea strikers were terrible this year. Consider that Chelsea averaged more shots/game than other team in the league this season and created about as many or more chances/game than City or Liverpool, but ended up 30 goals behind Liverpool or City.
You're black right? You sound black.
So you want to know what a simple anti-gravity device is? That's a very good question. One that Peter Fred's Kickstarter page chooses not to answer.
The irony is that telling a fan in England that they have a Europhilic allure will get you stabbed.
