I have to say, from personal experience, implantable multifocal replacement lenses. You left out my two favorites—artificial hip joints (thanks, distracted driver) and insulin pumps (you have no frickin’ idea how great those things are—I can go nearly a week without worrying about where my insulin bottle and syringes are).

I use an insulin pump.

My problem with that line of thinking is that not a lot is actually worth a damn thing “when you really think about it,” much less anything digital.

As with anything really it’s only worth what someone is willing to pay you for it.  And plenty of dumb people are willing to spend millions on something they will almost certainly get their money back on.
