Of course I clicked on it. I wanted to find out the information that wasn’t listed in the headline. I couldn’t scroll on until I did.

It’s down to individual taste.

It’s “clickbait language”. Notice how the title of the article has no mention of the actual setting being altered? It’s to make you click through. It’s hardly any different to the “one cool trick” clickbait strategy.

I agree with you. One of the biggest surprises for me in gaming in the past couple of decades was when I hit World 6-3 in Super Mario 3D World (Hands-On Hall).

I feel the same. I recently replayed the original Sonic, and what struck me was that after Green Hill Zone, the game changes to be something slower and more deliberate.

I actually bought a lot of Wii U games. There may not have been a constant stream of releases, but there were some damn good ones.

At the time, it felt so much better than Doom in the way it had depth. You could go into a building, or climb on its roof, or go through an air duct. It led to surprising encounters.

That’s because the side content seemed to be the same thing over and over again in those games. The bit where it almost apologizes for the terrible sexism in this game?

You don’t need to take down a print article and republish it. You just make an update. That’s the point. You can’t easily do that with videos.

This all comes about because not enough thought was put into software architecture.

This is the type of cynicism that lets dictators and murderers get away with their crimes.

Nintendo is still doomed.
