I think you need consumer acceptance and government support. I like my plug in hybrid but I wish it had more battery range. Government subsidies for these desirable technologies would make things much easier. There is little or no chance of that with orange shitler in control.

Seeing as how the GOP seems to be big on States Rights when it comes to abortion, education, etc., I’d like to suggest they can stay the F out of NY’s policies on traffic. 

I would question on what legal basis the Feds have for forcing NYC to remove their tolls, then I remembered that “legal basis” plays no part in decisions anymore.  This could result in anything from a stern letter of “we said STOP IT!” to actual troops in the streets-type shit.  Literally anything.

Agreed. Part of the reason people could afford to live on a single income with mostly domestic production 60 years ago is because they simply didn’t have as much crap back then. And the stuff they did have was made to last.

If I can take one good thing from this election cycle, it’s that it really made me look at my consumerism habits and go “dude, wtf are you doing?”

The US is the largest consumer country in the world. Any tariffs, either set by the US or another country, negatively affects the US a lot more than the other country.

The grift in this administration is going to be mind-blowing. He and the first Mattress Pad have already launched their crypto currencies, and that, I’m sure, is just the beginning. Truly a sad new era for America.
