Allowing China EV companies in will decimate US OEMs regardless of what they try to do to react.
But hey, at least you got your cheap Chinese shit right?
I dont trust U.S. companies any more than I trust Chinese companies. If anything U.S. companies are just selling data to Chinese companies and they dont want to lose the middle man. I know I’ve been exploited by U.S. companies. I doubt the Chinese have.
Its almost as if different writers have different opinions.
This has been in the works for awhile and has actually been pretty well reported on. Heck, some version of it was built into the IIJ act. The problem is a decent chunk of this country doesn’t read/watch the places where that gets reported.
Damn, so Chinese EVs are affordable because the country’s government invested in making clean transport accessible to its citizens? How evil. I’m so glad we don’t do that here, outside of the billions in subsidies for EV retooling (https://www.energy.gov/articles/biden-harris-administration-announces-nearly-2-billion-s…
Anyone ever notice how this really only happens with Asian products? (also, I noticed they tossed in Russian cars here to stop the overwhelming flow of... what, exactly?)
Have our modern capitalists not done their homework, or is a genuinely free and fair market not in their interests?
100% was going to say this lol. That and if it begins with “My mom/grandma/dad/grandpa taught me this” you can ignore it because 99% it just some stupid shit a toddler already knows. That’s the online/social media version of the first part of an infomercial where they show someone purposely doing something so…
Just stop building these ridiculously over-sized monstrosities.
You know, it shows amazing restraint that the government of California doesn’t just sue these folks for defamation. It’s a pretty airtight case, right? Typically the government as an entity can’t be defamed, but you could pretty clearly outline harm to individual employees.
“You won’t see this on the news!” they say about a story they just made up.
THAT THERE IS COMMUNISTIC!1!!!1!
Extreme ND. Being RHD, having no AC, and being a Corrado are each a big enough factor to make this way too high of a price. You could get an imported Audi S2 for this money, which is like a dramatically better and grown-up Corrado anyways.
The necessity for the 5 orange lights on the front for trucks over a certain width was a discouragement for a while, until automakers realized that truck guys actually liked them and would pay more for it. Now they are leaning into it at full force
We could, I dunno, have limits on the width, length and height of non-commercial vehicles.
Easy Crack Pipe. Near 30 grand for a 30 year old Volkswagen. The miles are low but not low enough, you have to drive on the wrong side of the car and you don’t get AC. All that for the benefit of a slightly larger engine and no electronic seatbelts. They’ll get maybe low 10s for from a big VW guy out of state.
I have owned many VW’s, and Audi’s, but never the Corrado or VR6. I love them and would love having one some day, but I’m No Dice on this one. It’s priced at the high sale side on BAT. They’ll probably get it but not from me.
LOL, no.
