I’m not sure why this even makes the USA Today. The airline did right by the guy and did so expediently.

Seems like a non-story. Airline damaged wheel chair. Airline agrees to replace the chair they damaged. Ok. Got it.

Faux News is just one of a whole tribe of right-wing disinformation spreaders.  It’d be great to have a precedent to deal with the disinformation push.

Right? I’m trying to figure out the thought-process there. He’s on a jetski... there’s no water present... he’s a witch! I fear for the safety of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile: “OFFICER! THERE’S A MAN DRIVING A HOT DOG!”

... And no personal floatation device?

calls that someone was driving around on a jet ski”

These are usually just the shell of an old PWC lowered onto the frame and guts of a scooter or small displacement motorcycle. I would not recommend returning it to a body of water. lol

I grew up in Central Florida. Comparing Busch Gardens to Disney World is a joke. Sea World? Legoland? You must be kidding.

Universal is at least a near competitor, but they still run second place behind the combined power of the Disney parks.

I’m just pointing out that DeSantis isn’t dumb enough to bite off more than he can chew.

Disney is not in a position of power here

I would like to see the numbers of those who go to Florida to visit Disney World but put in a side trip to Sea World, Legoland, Universal, etc. vs those who go to Florida to visit Sea World, Legoland, Universal, etc. with a side trip to Disney World. I think you know the answer to that. All of those other parks exist

Don’t forget they are also wanting to basically give everyone living there a constant dose of radiation through the roads. So... not really sustainable.

I often wonder that the long-term plan of Republicans overall is. I mean, this is a group that worked tirelessly to tell people who voted for them that their votes weren’t being counted, that voting was rigged, that results were fraudulent - and then wondered why they had lower voter turnout during the next election.

Disney is not in a position of power here. If they go nuclear and just pick up and leave, you can guarantee that another brand will just snap up the real estate and make it an extension of their own parks.

Brother in christ, Disney is not just Florida’s largest employer, it’s the largest single-site employer in the world. It employs 75,000 people in central Florida. There is zero chance of them “picking up and leaving,” because money, but also because DeSantis can do f*ck all to them.

Don’t Say Gay Bill>Disney lukewarm response>DeSantis fuckery trying to punish Disney>Disney unfucking the fuckery in public before said fuckery can fuck>Disney sues Florida. In that order.

Sorry broseph, but those ‘other parks’ have diverse employee bases as well AND Disney does have slightly larger brand than most of the others (combined). So, good luck in your objective to rid yourself of the Mouse’s House, but don’t be sad when all you’re left with is termites...

There isn’t a long term plan. It seems the entire state Republican machine is dedicated to fucking over anyone and everyone to propel Ol’ Pudding Fingers into his futile campaign to be a bigger dick than Donnie the Con, no matter the cost.

There is no long term plan except to stay elected.

Kind of makes you wonder what exactly the long term plan of Florida Republicans is. The insane Boomers who are their voter base will be mostly dead in 20 years and at that point the state is going to screwed when rising sea levels send most of the state underwater.
