Good. Hopefully this convinces other brands/organizations to ditch the service too.

“State-funded media” is shorthand for “just a mouthpiece for the government which, come on, you know are just lying to you!”

It’s definitely a dig and a dog-whistle to the right.

Google NPR before you post

It should come as no surprise that governments have a massive vested interest in the way news outlets report on them, just as private companies do. Of course actual state influence over media outlets is a threat to journalism (regardless of the relative accountability argument). In the U.S. we dismiss foreign outlets

Google has offered offline downloads for several years but better trail maps would be nice. Google still needs to work on routing I've been sent into the middle of nowhere a few times by the algorithm.  Alltrails, Hiking Project,  MTB Project and similar apps are trail specific and worth using instead of Google Maps.

I startes downloading sections of Google maps via cell or wi-fi in advance for offline use years ago for areas I knew wouldn’t have service. I know was not as thorough as this but not huge as had no problem navigating trails in the Smokies with them as the GPS works.

I love her wordless gasp of excitement about being Definitely Not A Team (so clearly we are.)

Everything from Kamala in this movie looks wonderful. From her reactions to suddenly being in space to seeing Goose go full Flerken for the first time...it’s just all seems so genuine.

And people wonder why comments sections are turned off. The day I comment on a YouTube video will be the day I shuffle off this mortal coil.

Kamala’s reaction to Goose is exactly what I’d expect literally anyone to do who wasn’t already deeply familiar with the bizarre shit out there in the universe of the MCU.

This looks like a whole lot of fun. Every do themselves a favor though and stay the fuck away from the Youtube comments. Holy shit, people are awful.

Can’t wait! Iman Vellani just inhabits Kamala so well that I can’t stop grinning when she’s on screen.

This looks like it’s shaping up to be about the most fun I’ve had with a Marvel film since Shang Chi.

There are going to be some hot takes from people who skipped Ms. Marvel and aren’t prepared for Kamala’s energy

That’s fair, but the tone was very significantly different at the start of The Mandalorian, which was about longer shots of quiet, and slow progressions of begrudging emotion, tightly focused on Din. While their were moments of Clone Wars type stuff (the big Mandalorian fight), they were the exception. Now, basically

I’ve never heard of him, but that is obviously false, haha. It would be one thing if Gina Carano had stayed quiet after they fired her or if she had updated her views, but if anything she’s been doubling and tripling down on all of it. She would be worse to work with now than if they had just never fired her.

Add back in Mando’s two Book of Boba Fett episodes and you got a full season again.”

I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if Carson Teva’s role in the story has gotten beefed up as a result of droping Cara Dune.

Paul Sun-Hyung Lee is a huge Star Wars fan and by all accounts a standup likable person (as well as good in this role) so I’m glad to see he’s been getting more screentime.
