So protesters had phone numbers written on their arms and were completely justified for doing that. Protesters believed the cops would act in bad faith and they did.

Come on. It’s only a few bad apples that charge innocent people with domestic terrorism for having mud on their shoes.

I’ll still pre-order games if I want the CE, since those are usually pretty hard to find after release.  I’d never order one from Gamestop though.

Honestly at this point I’m surprised people pre-order at all. I’m exponentially more surprised that those who do pre-order would still trust Gamestop with it. 

“How could this happen?” I thought to myself until I hit the magic words “SAP conversion” and it all made sense.

Not well, ever really. Worked there during their best financial years (2006-2016), and year over year the expectations increased, compensation basically stayed the same, and job perks were slowly taken away.

I’m pretty sure their online store ships directly from their B&M stores now. I’ve started receiving their opened store copies of games they sell as ‘new’ lately and collectables have all had store price/clearance tags on them. I remember ordering Guilty Gear Strive from them and getting one of those ‘display’ copies…

Well, at least they did the right thing and prioritized getting it into the hands of the online bot scalpers and not the gamers that waited in line in the cold to preorder.
