There literally are two physical keys, as it says right in the article

They do include fobs with the car.

And that same EVERYONE didn’t dilute its stock value to help fund the purchase of a social media network for the sole purpose of owning the libs.

Now let’s see if Tesla turns into a Microsoft (still successful) or a Palm/Blackberry (lol) ...

Yup, it is happening in real time. CL ad for a just delivered Model Y and screenshot of one in inventory for immediate delivery in the same area.

I think I kinda like the new one best

Part of it is that they got repeatedly slapped in the face that mass producing a consumer product is a hard thing to do.

Agreed. I was never a big fan of Nissan’s “v-motion” grilles they stuck on everything. It always looked forced to me, like they wanted something, anything, as a uniform product design element a la the Lexus “spindle body” or the Kia “tiger nose”.

I don’t know where it ranks for me quite yet, but it is more dramatic than I was expecting at this point in the lifespan.

The part that is missing is how much they increased their prices from ‘20 to early ‘22, now they are back tracking and essentially giving a finger to anyone that bought one of these newly discounted cars in the past 2 years or so. Incentives exist in the car world, but they are usually nowhere near this and ramp up

For real, Tesla had a 10 year lead on EVERYONE, but in the last 3 years that same EVERYONE caught up and surpassed them

I think he still should have prioritized the release of the Roadster as it’s Halo car. Even if it couldn’t get to 60 in under 2 seconds while having 600 miles of range, a good coupe is what missing right now in the EV world.

In the not too distant future Tesla is going to be a case study on wasting a head start.

Listen, you’re focusing on the wrong thing. Look over here, it’s TWITTER!

Remember when Tesla touted their used resale value by guaranteeing a certain residual amount? This is basically the opposite of that, they are going to ruin the used value of their cars doing this. Your X you bought last week is now $13k less valuable even if you have not taken delivery yet!

Can you imagine having bought one a week ago? It’s one thing for that pair of AirPods you bought last week to now be on sale for $50 less, but thirteen thousand dollars is on a whole other level of buyer’s remorse.

I mean, Elon aside, their lineup is starting to feel stale, there’s very little development happening that I can tell. No announcements of new models or model updates, Obvious issues getting around production hurdles, meanwhile, manufacturers are beginning to release actual interesting BEVs that people might be more

Its like how we get to openly talk about how bad Tears From Heaven is as a song after Clapton came out as a bigger shit bag.  Its liberating, Gina is fucking awful.
