I think its a bit misleading to say its what people want. It's what some people want sure but the main factor in a lot of MMO's going from Sub to F2P is frankly that they either aimed too high or weren't very good to begin with.

It will be interesting to see what all they have done with this thing in the years its been worked on. I'm not exactly sure what upgrades have been made but considering how long it's taken it obviously has to go a good deal deeper than simply redoing the art assets and porting to the new engine.

CoH/V was one of those games that was amazing when it came out.. but did not age well sadly. I kept trying to go back to it but the rust and dust on the games mechanics and content just made it impossible to stay subscribed despite a really great desire on my part to try and look past it and enjoy the game.
