Why not Meryl Streep? Or Tilda Swinton? Or other dramatic actors who might want to do comedy once in a while?

I feel like for guys you can be funny or serious at any time. But if you're a woman you become a "woman comedienne" and that becomes your THING. Kristen Wiig seems to be trying at least to branch out with indie

The reason it's called "Homecoming" is that they make a point to invite all the alumni to "come home" and spend some time at the school, watch the game, etc. This happens a lot more often in college Homecomings, which don't feature kings and queens and instead are geared towards alumni events/reunions in order to get

No. That's based on the story of the Jefferson Wines, bottles claimed to be owned at one time by Thomas Jefferson, but were really (allegedly) faked by Hardy Rodenstock who claimed they were found in a bricked up cellar in Paris. Koch was also a victim of his.

The Jefferson wines are fascinating because there are

This isn't the worst idea I've ever heard. It's better than a badly written forced 3rd sequel, but whether it's better than just letting the series go untouched...not sure.

If it must go forward, this is the best take I've heard yet.

Yeah but the winner of THAT match would probably play an invigorated France which recently pasted Switzerland with 4 goals by 4 different players, whereas if the US comes through against Belgium they probably go against Argentina, who has distinct weaknesses that you know Klinsmann knows how to exploit. I'm not sure

I worked in a major movie studio lot once as an assistant sound editor. One day my boss asks me if I can go to the other end of the lot to pick up a tape that we need for such and such project. And since the tape is so far away, I get to take the cart!

AWESOME, right? Getting to drive the golf cart is one of work's

Yeah Mandola hasn't really been involved in Carrabba's for a while. Carrabba's is terrible, but it has nothing to do with Mandola these days. His local Austin franchise Mandola's is actually somewhat decent. The pizza is great.

But man, this is...why did he need to steal the wine? I feel like he drank plenty before he

Fun Fact: Genghis Cohen is also the name of a Chinese restaurant in LA, I believe it's on Fairfax? Anyhoo, it is the Chinese restaurant where Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David had to wait forever, inspiring the episode of the show.

It always boggles my mind how different Paul Rudd's career could have been. He could have been a generic romcom/action leading man, an early Affleck or McConaghey, if you will. Instead he insisted that he was a broad comedian and earned it, probably giving up a lot of money in the process. Well played.

I'm not blaming you. There actually is a huge history of sound people getting mistreated and disrespected throughout the history of the film industry. It continues to this day. Sound people in general are very sensitive to it because they've been the black sheep of film since 1929 or so.

If they had said that step you

As a former Hollywood sound editor, I take exception to "Soundie." Those jobs have real titles and real responsibilities. Sound Editor. Boom Operator. Production Sound Mixer. Re-Recording Mixer. All very different things.

And it's a whole different universe than doing it with bands. Srsly, no one knows anything about

Why does he look like Steve Perry in that picture. It's messing me up.

OK. I agree with everyone - douchetastic to the extreme, this is not about mental illness, all of that noise. Roger and agreed 100%. But I do have an alternate perspective.

Baking dries out the wings, but it's quite flavorful if you do it right. If you brine the wings for half an hour or so beforehand, some salt water and brown sugar should be fine, you'll get moist flavorful wings without frying. I also steam the wings first for 10 minutes to render out a lot of the extra fat. Then

I got this YEARS ago in Tallahassee, FL. I was like HEY. I was super overweight though, and I've lost like 50 lbs since, so well played fortune.

...and as a result, more kids get to go to college for free. With the exception of top level programs in football and basketball (and to a lesser extent baseball) where the focus is on finding pro-quality players more than education, the sports systems at the university level are pretty much a big fat scholarship fund

Yes, the Fleischer Superman cartoons had sound effects and even dialogue - they were pretty first-rate when they came out, and they cost a lot of money to make. They're truly lovely.

I may have these two films flipped, but IIRC the first sync sound in a cartoon was sync music in "Skeleton Dance," by Disney

That depends on the cartoon. The Fleischer Superman cartoons were in color, as were some of the Disney Silly Symphonies (the first color cartoon was a Disney called "Flowers and Trees"), and of course Snow White is in color. Color was used in these cartoons all throughout the 40's and 50's because the place to watch

Got my tickets for their Austin show this morning, bought the album too on vinyl. I love being an adult sometimes.

Not voice activated though. If Nova could integrate Google Now the way Kitkat does I'd switch immediately. I use the voice Google all the time, and I swipe left to Now all the time too.
