So, my die-hard Catholic in-laws are interestingly in line with the Church’s official stance when it comes to being “pro life” in that they are both against abortion AND the death penalty.

Mormons and evangelicals? Yeah, I’d agree, but as for Catholics I think it’s largely dependent on what part of Europe they originally hailed from. I think we’d agree that the populaces of some of those “traditionally Catholic” ethnicities have no problem with getting their freak on.
Are you in 2010? They’ve refined LED’s to be every bit as bright and clear as incandescents. You just need to read the packaging.
I’m just surprised she didn’t manage to work in her father’s name in that same sentence.
Wasn’t one of the old writers here at Jez one of the people who wrote the BS “50 things to drive your guy crazy” articles for one of the glossy magazines and talked about she made all that up because she had never had sex?
Yeah all the “sequels” (good or bad) tend to make people think the franchise was an action series and forget that it was originally a multi-layered horror movie.
I mean, the whole movie of Alien was one giant rape analogy, so you’re not far off. Even if all the characters were written genderless originally (with only last names). Signourney Weaver even pushed to do the final confrontation scene nude to drive home the point, but Ridley Scott was afraid they’d get an X rating.
There was a mass shooting where I live. There was a guy there with concealed carry who later straight up said there was no way he could have tried to stop the shooter without endangering more people because he only had a handgun versus the shooter’s assault rifle (and better position).
I remember Ventura caused controversy when he declared he wouldn’t use the Governor’s Mansion, which meant under the terms of its donation to the state the the building would have to be demolished or something.
Hell Dennis Rader’s daughter still says she thought her upbringing was a “happy normal American family.”
My wife binged Bridgerton and I kept hearing about all the sex scenes. But when I watched it with her the sex just seemed super fake. Nothing against the actors, but it was like it was choreographed by someone who wrote erotica as a teenager and had never touched anyone of the opposite sex.
Honestly I didn’t either. And I’m in Omaha and have been all over the city last couple months and saw none of these.
They hit the required number of signatures, and it appeared that it was going to go through because one judge declared the 5% rule stupid, but then after it sailed past the total number, the state supreme court harshed everyone’s buzz and said no, the 5% rule still applies.
Well COVID made free lunches pretty much universal (I think). At least when the federal funding ended a lot of districts suddenly “found” the money to continue it.
They’re arguing that a fetus has more rights than an actual child.
My state conveniently changed its rules about ballot initiatives to keep a marijuana issue off the ballot, but a voter ID one on. Basically for a ballot initiative to be valid, you have to get a certain percentage of signatures from a c certain percentage of counties, even if those counties are not representative of…
Good luck, the fucking ATF can’t even do that.
Because everyone else in the movie is awesome?
