Huh, I didn’t think of that. The Chitauri leader/Thanos lackey gave Loki the scepter, though. It could have been symbolic, but I’m willing to assume the Chitauri army was slaved to whoever is granted the scepter, and the mothership has some kind of broadcast system for the Mind Gem’s control.

Avengers: Age of Ultron definitely had Iron Man 2 syndrome, where its own story felt secondary to setting up future movies. The first Avengers felt a lot more satisfying because it was all payoff to what came before. But hey, that probably means Infinity War is going to be great!

I'm really glad to see that Lady Thor is still around after Secret Wars (also Falcon Cap, assuming no one else has a silhouette with giant wings and Cap's shield). My biggest worry with the whole "now our most popular characters are more diverse!" thing was that they would inevitably roll it back and celebrate the

It looks dumb or (the unexpected virtue of ignorance)

Ain't no rule says a dog can't play video games.

Also, can Nick Fury just look like Samuel L. Jackson for no reason other than they want to draw him like that now? The whole "Hey Nick Fury Jr., here's your dad's job and eyepatch, let's never speak of this again under penalty of torture" thing is so hilariously dumb.

Having Miles be the main Spider-Man with an older, married Peter as his mentor is genius. It's the best possible way to undo One More Day while addressing the concerns that led Marvel to do One More Day in the first place (Married Peter's too old, Spider-Man was more fun as a teen, etc). Does Crysis count as a Far Cry spinoff? Is it enough to be a game about jungle survival with "cry" in the name?

Oh yeah, that's right, I forgot about that. Oh well, the bigger screen, etc. will hopefully make it worth another playthrough.

I'm glad to know the upcoming games are good, but I'm actually more excited to replay older games with the new hardware. I have a launch 3DS (Aqua Blue Forever!) and never got the circle pad attachment. So between the larger screen, the c-stick, and 3D tracking, Kid Icarus: Uprising and Resident Evil: Revelations are

You blow up one sun and suddenly everyone expects you to walk on water.

When Marvel fights DC, who wins?

#GamerGate wasn't an innocent critique of games journalism that got hijacked by vile agitators. It all started with a terrible harassment campaign against a female developer. Only later did it try to cover itself in the language of a valid-seeming social grievance.

An unseen danger of being too careful with the circle pad is that it's impossible to wiggle out of things. Getting hit with a Skyward Sword beetle is instant death.

I know. It's not a big deal that the mainline Marvel Universe is Earth-616, so any What If? story would be on literally any other number. It shouldn't bother me.

Anyone remember Dead Space for iOS? Their solution to the virtual stick problem was to use the left half of the screen for movement and the right half for aiming. I remember it being a great control scheme for a mobile shooter. I wonder why it isn't more common. Seems like a great fit for BiOShock.

Honestly, I probably would have skipped the 3DS version if they came out on the same day. The staggered release gives me a reason (and a couple paychecks) to definitely get both.

Personally, I didn't get the Wii U version because it wasn't going to get the Freedom Cry or Aveline DLC. Seems to make sense that the incomplete version of the product wouldn't sell as well.
