The Starship Damrey really grabbed my attention. Seems almost Slender-y.

Woah. Nintendo is absolutely killing it with the 3DS. There are now five or six games coming up just this year that I have to have, and that's in a year with Luigi's Mansion 2 and Fire Emblem, which is on my short list for game of the year. If the Wii U's third year is even half this exciting, I'll consider it a…
That was my first thought as well, but I think it actually speaks to the disconnect between "playing the game" and experiencing the story. Personally, I felt much worse about Elizabeth losing trust in me than I did about brutally murdering hundreds of cops just doing their jobs. Does that mean that I'm a monster? Or…
Wooo! I get so excited about these. Iwata always makes me feel like everything's going to be ok.
I think you're working with a different definition of art than I (and the other commenters, I think) am. For me, anything creative or expressive is art, and the subjective question is whether it's good or bad. For you, it seems like nothing is art unless it reaches a subjective "good" threshold.
I'm willing to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. Homeworld was my first PC game, after all.
I played through Infinite before trying the original BioShock, and my feelings about it now that I'm a few hours in are similar to what Leigh says here. Maybe it's not anything about Infinite in particular, maybe it's just that you can't recreate the magic of your first lighthouse adventure.
I know I will. Definitely a dumb move for all sorts of reasons.
As the article points out, comixology.com will still have this issue, and you can even still read it on an iOS device, you just can't buy it through Apple's in-app purchase system.
After two Joker-centric Arkham games, I'm fine if Mark Hamill sits this one out. But if Batman isn't Kevin Conroy... Well, it won't be a dealbreaker, but I'll be sad about it.
Can't find a pic, but definitely the Yoshi Village Toad House on Lavalava Island in Paper Mario. Let the soothing sounds of the surf and Yoshi pan flutes lull you to sleep...
It's probably not totally necessary, and I'd be surprised if Nintendo's next gen handheld still used it, but I'm happy I've gotten to experience it. It made me smile when I first tried Pilotwings Resort in a Best Buy and I realized that glasses-free 3D actually works. Now I almost never turn it off.
Your analogy isn't quite right. It's not that video games make people into rapists; it's that they contribute to a culture that limits the non-sex-object roles women can play. Violent video games don't make people into mass murderers, but they do contribute to a culture that glorifies the military, sees violence as…
Heck, while we're making up magic price points, why not sell the PS4 for $9.99? I'd buy four!
I'm all for delaying a game if it needs fine-tuning, I just hadn't heard about a delay for the Wii U version and I was all excited to buy it this week. If A:CM Wii U is pushed off a month, it'll be right in the middle of Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, etc, and I was hoping to spread the joy a little bit. Oh well.
So is A:CM not coming out for Wii U this week? If not, then my February Wii U gaming schedule has been gutted. Thanks, Ubisoft...
Skylanders, but with Pokemon, using the Wii U's NFC reader. Nintendo will make $1.1 billion on launch day.
From my understanding, the WWHD introduction in the Nintendo Direct cast said that those images were just proof of concept for rendering the Wind Waker style with Wii U HD power, not that they were final clips of what we'll see this fall. The final release could look way different or use entirely different effects.
This is just as unconstitutional as a sin tax on guns would probably be. As annoying as the debate can be, violent video games are just as protected by the First Amendment as guns are by the Second Amendment, so at least the two sides are on equal footing.
