Technically, you can play with the demo version of Arma 2 on Steam. DayZ mostly requires the Operation Arrowhead expansion.

It's a genuinely good game for the iOS, and even moreso because it's free. What pisses me off is the endless amount of shameless copies on the Free Top 25 list on the app store. One even going as far as to use zombies. Just, ugh, no. The epitome of unoriginality right there.

All I can think of is SNOOOOOOOW.

It's a brutal game from what I've seen in videos. Jerkbags killing newbies on the shore for fun and people with much better equipment more inland that'll shoot anyone on sight in fear or for their really rare weapon.

I'd love to see it in a Matte finish.

I'd still use a skin. There a lot of wonderful female skins you can use.

They eventually changed that to a different sound. Which is good, because that sound kind of creeped me out when I fell in lava.
