Are they even still selling them? I think there were not for a while because of all the issues folks were having with them. I looked into them before... I would highly recommend doing some research on it before plunking $250 for what appears to be largely a gimmick.

I say you just weld the seat to the frame. =)

I love and have used TiVo for over a decade. They will need to adjust their service and business model to remain competitive. Cable companies are FINALLY getting in the same neighborhood of usability as TiVo. They offer basically the same functionality within their boxes at a competitive price point. It is getting

Also, (coming from non grad student) isn’t the idea of a theory, something that can be used to make projections on testing outcomes? Using evolution as an example, one might predict that DNA relationships exist or do not exist based on the theory of evolution. Then when tested, those predictions would either reinforce

I have had a few cancelled flights in my travelling days for work. Since I had an expense account and could get good rooms with just about anywhere (Hilton Diamond). I offered to let a couple of other travelers to share the room with me so they were not sleeping in an airport and could have a shower in the morning. In

Part of Skip’s point was “never” is an awfully long time. There are a couple of things Skip illustrates could make “never” plausible. One is that we kill ourselves off before we can make the attempt. Two, is that we somehow deem the trip to be totally pointless by some other technology or broader goal.

Of course you treat people like toddlers. People are stupid. Myself included. You should never expect that sort of awareness from the average person.

When used properly and properly safeguarded with good process and technology, having data digital and networked can be very beneficial. Especially when it comes to things like medical records. Unfortunately nothing is foolproof (not even paper records), but the benefits can often outweigh the risks.

While the OLED set may have some technical superior specs and even do better in lab type tests, I have read some reviews that suggest that the OLED needs another couple of years to mature. Issues with grey-scale and darker, almost black scenes dropping detail. Banding of grey-scale. Issues with jutter and other fast

I can say that my mother was legally blind without corrective lenses (20/800). She had the original trial procedure done back in about 1988. She was then 20/20. She has to wear reading glasses now, and had cataract surgery since... but otherwise has no issues.

I don’t get it... people are sexual creatures. We are going to have sexual contact with whatever tickles our collective fancy. Women don’t want to be seen as sex objects, so someone thought, that is fair... we will make an object for sex... but that is not good either!? Sorry folks, you cannot collectively decide how

I hear ya... I am dumbfounded how it required some “broader explanation”.

I went to that High School, albeit about 30 years ago. In any case, a lot has changed there. I did some of the same things this kid did when I was a youngster. Nobody ever accused me of building a bomb. Then again I am not brown.

I want to try samon-salad sandwiches now. =)

I learned how to balance a checkbook, write a resume, and apply for a job in High School. It was part of my work program during my senior year. A good course where I left a couple hours early to “go to my job”, which counted as my final credits for the semester. Much more valuable and some basic prep for the real

Did not know “Good” was an objective measure.

I am more apt to ‘splurge’ on things that will last a while, or when when quality really matters. Things that last a while, it is easy to spend extra knowing that over it’s lifetime, it will be more reliable, or I wont be needing to replace it again for a long time.

Maybe he should try cornstarch and water next time... non newtonian fluids.

This seems like McDonalds is doing it and more large fast food chains. I am sure it is due to public pressures, but does not mean every farmer has to adopt the paradigm. Farmers could still raise their eggs in cages, and if that is much cheaper, sell them to stores who will sell them to consumers cheaper. Nothing

That is a good point. If all you are doing is making sure my drink is full and bringing my order from the kitchen to my table, what justifies any tip? How full my drink remains?
