I wired my house years ago. WiFi has it’s uses, but I have way to many devices and do to much with networks and Internet in general to completely rely on WiFi. I would do it again today.

Hmm.. I just had to have my license renewed in Jan and they made no mention of a “Real ID”. Of course NJ has had a very strict ID process for years already. I just checked and my ID does not have a star. Seems silly to issue me a replacement just to have to replace it again in a few months.
I prefer the option of just not going to Starbucks for an overpriced cup of coffee. =) Then again, I am not a coffee drinker, so that is very easy for me.
I just stay in a lane that is appropriate for the distance I plan on being on that stretch of road. I always laugh about the guys who cut in and out of traffic to maybe get an extra couple car lengths. I just say to myself “Hope it was worth all that effort for that 2-3 seconds of distance you earned”, or... “Feel…
Same here. The car does all the work and I just keep an eye out for people doing anything stupid, which is a fair amount of people. ;)
Thanks for reporting on this. I actually asked our HR department today what their policy is to mitigate the impact and infections from Coronavirus. They directed me to our company intranet portal which basically mirrored what was on the CDC website. What I found odd, is that we have, at least in my department, a…
It amazes me how creative the hackers are that come up with this stuff. Of course, don’t they need to be within range of the Zigbee network to pull this off? That sort of reduces your exposure pretty significantly. But if they are out ‘wardriving’ for vulnerable networks then they could find your network just for fun.…
Always love reading your responses. Thanks for taking the time and being so authentic in the responses. Very interesting and introspective.
Definitely get your roof replaced first. It can cost $5000 or more to have the panels removed and reinstalled. Get the new roof done, then go talk to SunPower. They have top rated panels. I bought mine, so I don’t really ever talk to them, but I hear they have good customer service.
I put solar panels on my roof about 5 years ago now. And it was the best decision I could make. With my average monthly electric bill, I could finance a new system and pay less on that loan and the little bit of electricity that I would still need from the grid, and pay less than what I was paying before. So the cost…
He is not sorry for doing it. He is sorry he has been caught. You want to prove you are sorry... start touring and speaking about how wrong it is to do what you did. Own it and go around decrying how wrong it was to anyone that will listen. Then you will have repented for your sins.
“Should You Buy an iPhone...” Let me stop you there. No. The answer is No.
Well duh!. =)
Part of me wants these asshats to get the country they are asking for. I just don’t want to have to try and live in it as well.
“for some reason”... That is like saying, they are bringing back sex and they have added orgasms for some reason. Sheesh.

I like my option better, and it works even if my current phone dies. All my contacts are on an Exchange server. When I get a new phone, I set up the Exchange email client and I have all my contacts.
I don’t think the article is meant to call out DoorDash itself as being some reprehensible organization. It is more to use this example of how many of these companies use this highly scalable labor model, but include some problems that a more traditional employer may normally be able to account for.
Interesting. Much cleaner look and I hope easier to maintain.
Thanks
