Shit like this is why it’s impossible for casual readers like myself to keep track of WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON

And this, is why I dont do monthlies. I just read whatever turns out to be good in trade form much later.

You leave Scotty out of this.

It’s going to cause regular people who would willingly pay a fair price for content to start pirating. People aren’t going to be able to or be willing to pay fifteen to thirty bucks a month to each separate content company.

It perfectly summarizes Donald Duck’s 83 years of living hell.

Superior Spiderman, Superior Ironman, the entire crap with the morally inverted Justice League. Marvel, we get it, you like artificially turning the heroes into villains. Guess what, comic book readers, DON’T LIKE THAT!

Seriously, they’re called superHEROES! Yes, while we occasionally like dark gritty stuff like

Actually, its basically like making a TV show but putting it in a Terrible timeslot with almost no avertising.. and then claiming “the sales are low, so we are cancelling it”.. If you gave it equal or at least SOME promoting and the numbers were bad, then maybe there is a point.. but as far as can see, that has not

But there are series that will appeal to the general audience — for example, the new Rocket book. It’s coming on the heels of GOTG Vol 2, it’s starring a fan-favorite character, you don’t need to know anything to start reading it (it explains everything to you), and it’s smart and funny!

Argh. I hate saying this, but Marvel: get your shit together. PROMOTE OTHER BOOKS! Instead of always promoting the next crossover, let’s say, promote the shit out of Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur! Or Rocket! Or anything! You get these great creative teams on books and then fail to tell anyone about them. Only hardcore

Marvel: “Well, we blame diversity for the drop in comics sales.”

Not really a hero but... some sort of anti-villain?

Let’s not pretend or mince words here: people whose only complaint was about prefering classic iterations of characters have not complained in first place, because for most of the time the classic characters were present (Cap, Iron Man, Spiderman, Thor, etc.), only with a new version running around, as a literal bone

I’m curious who have been missing Mar-Vell.

I sincerely doubt that they’ll let him have the same father simply because the common audience might find that confusing. But, in fairness, if they do decide to follow through, there’s actually a pretty easy way they could explain it all.

Read the book a few years ago and thought: “I like sci-fi and dystopian tales, but can’t quite place this story in a plausible, near future”.

You were obviously watching a different cartoon than I was, then.

It’s me, I’m the guy upset that they brutally murdered Red Ghost and his Super Apes

The problem with arguments like this is that not all characters all equal. In the field of pop culture representation, some characters are definitely worth more than others. That is why we talk about A-listers heroes and B-listers heroes and etc.

Chalice, undergoing transition from male to female, discovers that she is an “Alter” with the power to manipulate gravity—leading to her double-double life, where she is not yet “out” as either transgender or a superpowered being, and can only present as female when in her superhero costume and fighting crime.

It’s never on this level. Never. So the “Oh, people are just tired of reboots” excuse doesn’t support this venom either.
