The part where she uses 100% of her brain to completely dominate the chocolate factory conveyor belt is BADASS.
Haha. Now just to find a way to get them to help attaching 90deg parts.
That's a classic. I've been using that one for at least 20 years.
MajorMattMasons first explanation makes the most sense to me, every time I read C-47 “Goony Bird” popped into my head. May be related to the fact I operated C -17’s which are named after the C-47’s official name “Globemaster”. Clothespins = Globemaster, both useful for many things, I can dig it!
my buddy is NOTORIUS for playing pranks on new people. somewhere there exists a picture of a poor girl holding a dedo ballast with outstretched arms next to camera for “wireless power”
In spanish there’s the one you always have to play on newbs where you ask them for “Sal de cuadro” which means get out of frame and squared salt and then they scramble out of frame, 5 seconds later they either get it or ask if sea salt is ok
Yep!
This. Using them to attach diffusion is easy. Trying to attach one to the back of a grip’s shirt without them noticing after 5 other people have done it, now that’s hard!
I’ve seen behind-the-scenes of photo shoots before, and the best way to describe the scene from left to right is Photographer... Camera................ Model... CLOTHESPINS. She looked like a sexy hedgehog.
I also used them extensively when I did model photography. They were handy for hanging makeshift backdrops from a telescoping rod I bought. I usually also had a coil or two of clothesline for being able to make quick & dirty backdrop line to clothespin to when I didn’t have anyone to help hold things or when I need a…
Also fantastically useful for scale aircraft modeling when using poly cement and needing something to hold items together for a good while without risking damage to plastic. And nice and cheap so you can modify as needed for specific tasks, e.g. I have a set for holding wings together, another set for holding…
They’re also quite useful in playing practical jokes on your fellow crew members.
They also don’t melt and conduct heat (unless you purposely burn it) when you attach it with gels/scrims/defussions to lights.
Wow. This is the most interesting bit of miscellany that I’ve read online in a long time. And I’m on the imternwts a lot. Really cool.
I was shocked this movie wasn't on the list anywhere. So glad someone posted this.
Oh yeah! ST:First Contact! Kick-A*s flick!! The best of TNG movies out there, and I still think it beats about 90% of TOS and now the new parallel world films too!
Exactly what I was looking for!
I hate being "that" guy but yeah, I can't believe they kept First Contact off the list.
