It’s NAHT A SCHUMA!
Emmerich doesn’t seem to be adjusting well to the new cinematic paradigm. He’s still making the same sort of movies he would’ve made back in 1998, down to the same trailer flourishes — I don’t think today’s kids have any reference points for that kind of video static.
Fun fact: Universal Television, who were responsible for the Alan Smithee Cut of Dune, also broadcast the “Love Conquers All” cut of Terry Gilliam’s Brazil in 1989. That’s the version that Universal head Sid Sheinberg had wanted to release to theaters in 1985, which cut most of the fantasy sequences as well as the…
Maybe.. but at least it’s an 8 episode making of documentary about something genuinely interesting.
Yeah, season 4 was an actionpacked ride.
Speaking of double-endings, I have mixed thoughts about the Agents of Shield renewals. I like the show enough that I’m happy to have more of it, but the last episode of season 5 was pretty much perfect as a series finale, I’m not sure they’ll be able to replicate it at the end of season 7.
That extra season was so, so dumb though.
Probably because technically the series ended pretty much as J. Michael Stracynski intended. It wasn’t rushed to finish in the last few episodes because it didn’t get continued like most of these others.
Yeah the difference with that I think is they rushed to end S4 but still did a damn good job with the landing.. Then the strong S5 ending too. 😁
Came here to ensure B5 made the list. Amazed that it didn’t.
And then there was that show that was forced to rush to an ending, managed to be excellent while doing so and then be informed that they get another season after all, hope you haven’t used all your plotlines already, ‘kay, thanks, bye.
I loved the waitress. He's trying to bribe her and she thinks she's getting a nice tip. He landed on the planet Wisconsin and didn't know it.
Wendy & Lisa are the members of The Revolution most people can name.
I think it’s time we blow this scene
Get everybody and the stuff together

Came here to mention this series.
Came for Planetes, leaving satisfied
A worthy item to be aware of. Best to start preaching the gospel now so the ID10Ts are listening well before it becomes a critical issue. Just wait until somebody cracks this nut and starts privatizing orbital pathways. The sky will truly be the limit on what they can get corporations and governments to pay. Or maybe…
What’s with the eye-patch in the top photo? It looks like it’s just scribbled over a photo in MS Paint.
Bet he didn’t see that coming.
The film is fairly satirical, sort of a dark mirror of America’s actual history, so I don’t think it was meant to be a completely plausible alternate history. That said, there is not necessarily anything inconsistent about the idea that the British might support the South for other political reasons even though…
