The "Cloud Cars" from TESB weren't spaceships. They only flew in atmosphere, like the snowspeeders.

@Charlie Jane Anders: Exactly. Almost anyone could have replaced the original figure with Amy Pond. Working the TARDIS AND the Pandorica into the design as elements that reference the original design are signs of a inspired artist- with geek cred!- at work.
