The most interesting live-action Superman is already happening in Superman and Lois. I’m not saying I don’t want a good movie Superman but the bar has already been set very, very high...

Idris Elba as Odysseus

Yeah exactly this. So much so that I can’t believe every live action actor in the role doesn’t take lessons from Conroy’s ability to switch between persona but sadly they never seem to.

the Correct answer, as others have said, is all the moments. There are so many great ones so I’ll just drop this one into the list:

Yeah it is all that right. I kept waiting all through both seasons for the show to drop the ball but from my point of view it never has.
This is a great video essay on what makes it so good, what it has in common with other live action Superman stories and where it stands apart, however, it does contain a few spoilers

It is way better than the other CW stuff. It neatly avoids all the usual drama for drama sake tropes and issues that could be solved if people just talked but go on for episodes just don’t happen here. At it’s heart it’s a family drama and is doing something original with the Superman mythos by giving Lois and Clark

Have you been watching Superman and Lois?
“He just needs a writer/director who understands who Superman is and what he represents.” In S&L that understanding is there in abundance. The opening 5 mins of the pilot is cinematic in scope, optimistic and gorgeous. And for me the “Stand Down” moment represents one of

  • I had a lot of questions about Todd’s plan–Why did he wait until this meeting, so long after obtaining the blood, to inject himself? Why was he able to retain his mental facilities as Hulk?—but by the end of the episode, none of them really mattered. Ah well.

It’s Tolkien fanfic, albeit extremely visually impressive fanfic. Not sure why they want to undermine Galadriel’s rejection of Frodo’s offer to give her the ring by saying that passage to the West was something Gil-galad could just offer. Seems to me that’s a core element to her redemption story in LoTR. But I’m

Very well said.

Give me a movie set over the course of one night, sunset to sunrise. No supervillians, no rogues gallery, just Bruce struggling to save someone in danger having to use every resource in his arsenal, having to deal with a multitude of diversions and others he must save, other crimes he has to prevent, and have him

Yes Comixology Unlimited is indeed very, very limited in those to whom it allows access. I asked them a couple of years ago when they were going to open up their borders and their response was “soon.” Guess they have a quite limited understanding of the meaning of that word.

It’s been 60+ years since a birth control pill was introduced for women. I admit I don’t know the rational behind why it was targeted at women, why there was no male version but I strongly suspect it had a lot to do with gender blinkers and the fact the vast majority of those involved from the science all the way

Honestly I think it never occurs to them.

I think we could do without the Joker in the next film and I feel that I saw some way more interesting options in The Batman that could be teased out in a sequel from the numerous “cold” references surrounding the Penguin’s club to whatever the hell that was Bruce injected himself with to get back up again. To me it
