It was a question made in good faith. I was sincerely asking who their fans were and why (as I have no one to ask in my "personal orbit"). These people don't seem to do anything interesting, other than being rich and pretty. So why are they famous and covering every cover in the icon for this article?

Yeah, someone else mentioned that they may not sell as many magazines as higher ranked celebs, but their photos and everything are sold for super cheap, so it's cost-effective to put them on the covers of these kinds of magazines. Makes sense.

That's. Crazy. Wow.

Oh you brave soul. :) I appreciate you opening up like this. Would you mind sharing your reasons? My question was asked in good faith, really. Why are these people everywhere?

True, although in my own defense I usually avoid the tabloid post. I just saw the icon and needed a closer look because I wasn't sure but it looked like the same person was on every cover. That got me thinking about why. Why are they so ubiquitous without having really done anything?

haha, that's awesome. Maybe dentists' and doctors' offices too.

Good point. But at least there's the thrill of watching some kind of competition there. Any sports event will have that.

Ok, serious question. While everyone I know has a vague knowledge of the existence of the Kardashians, no one I know cares the least bit about them. However they are plastered over all these covers, which means they must sell magazines. But who cares about the Kardashians? And who buys these magazines? It feels like

I have one pair and I love them, but I have to say it's because I'm tall and finding any kind of pants is tricky. These fit perfectly. I thought it was worth the investment.

Thought the exact same thing. Thanks for posting.

I appreciate your input very much. Thank you! Your second case definitely rang a lot of bells with me. Especially the "instead of apologizing" part. There is no way to be angry with this person. In all cases, she is the one wronged. Never the one to have wronged. Unfortunately, or fortunately, this is a family member,

Yes, I can see how that would be incredibly frustrating, and for the same reasons that have been mentioned for chronic lateness: what she does feels like a total disrespect to your time and plans, especially since you make concessions to her and let her choose the time and place and she still can't accommodate them.

Hehe, thanks. Good to know.

Yes, I meant to reply to the commenter. Sorry about that! Thank you for your input, though.

Thanks for sharing your insight. Can you tell me with the why of it all? Why can you be regularly 15 minutes late, but you can't be regularly on time? What does that 15 minutes mean to you?

Ah, I see. Thanks for clarifying!

I don't remember writing that I was sure she doesn't have ADD, OCD, etc. I hope I didn't imply it somewhere because it wouldn't be correct. I usually try to keep that kind of perspective, but I certainly lost it today and took it personally. Just reading all these replies and experiences has certainly helped, though.

I have plenty of friends who've told me how long it takes just to get out of the house when you have kids. It's like packing for a convoy across the desert! This person has one grown daughter (who's taken on the same habits, actually) so it's not really her case, but I thank you for sharing your insights. I hope you

Thanks for sharing, Melly. That does give me some insight. Sounds like you really do try. I'll try and remember that the next time this happens. Likely she really did try.
