I owned Night Trap on the Sega CD when it was new. As a video game enthusiast, this remake piques my interest. It’s a very cool novelty. As a gamer who has played the game before—it’s really not a fun game. Don’t expect to enjoy the gameplay. And despite the prior controversy there is absolutely nothing titillating

Good point. Nathan Drake gets wet hair effects too.

I originally thought they didn’t have wet models but your character does get shinier when wet. The clothes don’t darken up though (like in Uncharted) so it’s subtle and easy to miss. Seems like they might have cut the feature or something.

If you’re not sure of when the original infection occurred, and the malware isn’t detected by AV software, rolling back perfectly can be very difficult. Many malware breaches have been “fixed” by doing a system rollback to an earlier (thought-to-be-clean) backup, and then a few weeks later, the malware pops right back

“Holding it wrong” was never the official PR line from Apple. Steve Jobs personally wrote a brief one-sentence email reply to a random iPhone user who directly contacted him, saying “avoid holding it in that way.”

Well, if you bring along a screwdriver and they let you take some counter space, it shouldn’t be a big problem.

Oh, I forgot to mention--yes, the HDD is very easy to replace. I actually swapped mine out for a 960GB SSD. Was that worth the $170 I spent? Debatable. I love it but it’s a lot of cash to spend to get rid of loading screens. A Firecuda would probably have been a better value for money.

Rise of the Tomb Raider in 60fps was very much worth it.

The first $399 shouldn’t get billed as “bought myself a PS4" anymore though, it is now budgeted as “generous gift for my sibling.” If it was yours you could trade it in.

You can justify a new purchase. After selling my first-gen PS4 and getting a Pro on sale, my upgrade cost was under $150 and I have zero regrets.

For $3 more, here is a similar unit with much much better reviews. I just ordered it last night; this one seemed to be the best value without having lots of complaints in the review section.

Well, I think the glitches are awesome and lucky shots aren’t quite as much of a draw. And then there’s some videos that are a little of each.

That’s a great point. I’d totally prefer a world where Toys for Bob alone releases Skylanders, and does it on a 2 year cadence.

[NOTE: I work at Blizzard, but this is my personal opinion, not an official statement!]

Agreed 100%. Aiming for the NES version is a mistake IMO. Even the Master System had a better version of Double Dragon.

Go for it! It won’t take long to chew through all of it, but the last DLC is structured and paced a lot like a bonus mission.

Nintendo’s getting crucified right now, in this very post...

Yeah, but if you buy a brand new PC with a twice-as-fast GPU, a 30% faster CPU, 1GB extra RAM, and a twice-as-big HDD, you definitely have a new PC.

Tangentially, I completely agree that 1080p/60 is way way more impressive than 4K (real or pseudo). Given the choice I will pick 1080p/60 every time. I have a 65" 4K TV at a 10' distance, and 20:20 vision; for me, the difference between 1080p and 4K is extremely subtle, but framerate is impossible to miss.

If you assume the PS4 was bought, that’s a sunk cost. You can’t double-bill it. And your controllers and hard-drive upgrades port over to the PS4 Pro for free; if anything that’s an argument for the PS4. On the Switch you’ll be buying brand new $80 controllers. :(
