Lots of games have vanished off the PSN/Xbox stores over time as licenses change hands. Turtles in Time Re-Shelled was removed when the new TMNT shows appeared. GTI Club+ was removed due to some licensing issue with the car manufacturers. Outrun Online Arcade was pulled when the Ferrari license expired.

Because development is long term game. It's a big arse ship on the open sea and it takes an incredible amount of time to make an about turn. We're seeing the results of that today: no major next gen games on the horizon, johnny-come-latelies like the new Borderlands game. The end result of publishers who had too…
Ground Zeroes also came out in the last month. Yeah, it's short, but it's AAA polish and far better on next-gen.
The remastered game isn't running the PS3 version unchanged. It's running a graphically superior version with better textures/models/framerate/resolution. All the examples you list are just playing the original games unchanged, not remastering. This is interesting because a remaster > the original game.
Do you really think adding PS4 compatibility is so easy? It's not like they open the game and change "format=PS3" to "format=PS4." It takes months of effort to do a quality conversion just of the code by itself (it's a totally different CPU type), and then they're also upgrading to 1080p 60fps and almost certainly…
Do you have a beef with the fact that Blu-rays cost more than DVDs, or that IMAX movie tickets cost more than regular tickets? It's perfectly normal to charge more for a higher-fidelity experience, even when the actual content is identical. I already beat and sold TLoU but I'll happily replay the game on PS4. It's…
If you're buying an iPhone 5c unlocked or off-contract, you'll spend $550 plus tax.
No discussion of game trading is complete without a mention of 99gamers.com.
That's totally true. However, that by itself doesn't come close to explaining the difference in specs between a 360 and the min-spec PC.
It's weird that the game can run fine on a Xbox 360 with 512MB of RAM and three cores, yet the PC experience requires so much more for min spec.
I'll be heartbroken if The Phantom Pain can't match the solid 60fps we got in Ground Zeroes! :) The engine appears to be super solid, we just need a full campaign to go with it.
I loved Brotherhood, so consider trying that one out. Revelations is meh—okay, but skippable.
Are you complaining that reviewers are generally treating Wii U as if it belongs in the previous generation of consoles? If so, it's hard for me to feel much sympathy for your complaint. Other than its release date, nothing about the Wii U is in the same league as "next-gen." Its hardware spec is roughly on par with…
From a technical standpoint, if you are designing a game engine that is targeting PS4 and Xbox One levels of performance, it's going to be beyond the capabilities of the Wii U.
When I scratch my nose, the light blinds me every time. Seriously!
Oh, well then never mind :)
It'll probably be a single-use code; if so, you could just not enter it :)
