Oh I see what the problem is.
Oh I see what the problem is.
Uhh what? In 3 years we had one full release (Part 2), one remake (Part 1), and now one remaster. Then again it’s due to a new generation arriving, the only reason they are doing this is because Part 2 was released right before PS5, same as TLOU with PS3 and PS4 back in the day, so they ported it to the new gen now…
I mean......not playing it and simply ignoring it is a perfectly acceptable option. I am a big fan of these games too-I don’t often play games again once they are finished, but TLOU I and II are two of the rare exceptions. But I don’t want to shell out for a remaster so soon, so I’m not going to. Whether the franchise…
You know you don’t have to engage with content you don’t want to right? Maybe those remasters aren’t for the fanboys with posters of the characters on their wall, but instead for those who weren’t into it last time and now have another reason/chance to get into it.
I don’t know, two games in a decade, with one remake and two remasters, doesn’t feel like anything close to “fatigue” to me. We have had CoD on an annual release for longer than that, and during the same period we had 7 Assassin’s Creed games, 5 Far Cry games, none of which really came close to being GoTYs or anything…
As an audio engineer, I think of remasters and remakes as entirely different things.
Reason is more important than time. And a generational bump is a fine reason to issue an upgrade. If it’s a small bump and/or is close to the consoles launch I think it should be free for owners of the game, if it’s a while later and/or it’s got some extra content then a small paid upgrade is fine.
I think it’s partly because they quit competing in terms hardware power. So these days the big third party titles are often absent. So you pretty much have to go with Sony/MS/PC to get those games. Then if you love Nintendo’s 1st party stuff you buy their system. So it’s rarely an either/or decision for a lot of…
To quote the guy from the other thread: “Starfield wasn’t snubbed. It simply wasn’t deserving.”
Ya know what I want see? Ya know what you forgot to ask for?
Where’s the clickbait, the manufactured outrage? You’ll never make it as an internet writer.
Ant Man 3 was fine. Fun. A handful of the movie’s moments were even great. Conversations like this, however, don’t stem from whether Ant Man 3 was successful or not, but rather the idea that, say, Mallrats should be judged in exactly the same way as The Godfather.
Keeping an IP or trademarked characters relevant all these years implies two things: Protect/Promote your IPs and release new games for these.
This is kind of worded like it’s a decision from Larian, but I have to assume it’s really Xbox seeing all the BG3 hype and deciding to change their policy so they can get BG3 out faster.
Hard disagree, tbh. BG3 absolutely should be used as a weapon, as it proves an incredibly specific point, which is that publicly traded, shareholder run companies are almost always the enemy of quality. The developers I’ve seen that are preemptively complaining are not wrong, in that players will expect more, and they …
Louis CK released a number of comedy albums; “Chewed Up” and “Hilarious” were probably his most successful, though I preferred “Oh My God” which included the “Of Course... But Maybe” bit.
Very happy to see Dave Attell on this list. From more recent years I think Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, and John Mulaney should be here as well.
Say what you like about “Blade Trinity,” no way is it bad enough to keep “Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter” off this list.
Also, “Lesbian Vampire Killers” was a movie that completely failed to live up to its title.
Difference is they threw a real inflating raft out of a real plane...can argue is wouldn't have landed as softly as it did on the slope...but it was entirely practical which allows for the suspension of disbelief
I am exactly the sort of person to forgive things like this. I enjoyed every new Star War I’ve been given. I bought the Hobbit extended editions on Blu-Ray. I watched all the new Ghostbusters movies more than once. I think Fantastic Beasts is not bad. I’ve defended the Independence Day sequel. I will gladly tolerate…
