I rarely play without other people these days; it makes up for the AI’s shortcomings rather nicely and makes for a very nice LAN party experience.

While I understand the frustration over the AI’s seeming open hostility, you mentioned that VI seems more like a board game - and in that respect, the AI’s have been designed in this iteration to act like opponents in said board game more than previous titles.
Think about it this way; in an actual diplomatic exchange,…
Second best comeback would have been a game of Starcraft II; playing a team match with a buddy we got rushed HARD early game with me running Terrans and my buddy as Protoss; his strategy was to tech up to the Dark Templars while I disrupted enemy supply chains with straight up Marines in Dropships. I’d managed to get…
World of Tanks; in a match playing a heavy tank more suited to defense than mobility, so I hung back to guard our flag. Look up after things go quiet to find out that my team of 15 was down to just me - and 10 of the enemy tanks still stood. Held my ground and through a bit of good maneuvering managed to win the match…
You can guess what format I play, haha.
It is actually a bit amusing, the Commander crowd is a bit like the whole ‘PC Master Race’ thing - it is hands down the best format for non-competitive play and/or 3+ player games.
It depends on your format; each has their own merits and drawbacks. If I recall correctly, the current formats are Vintage, Legacy, Modern, Standard, Pauper, Commander (also known as EDH), Tiny Leaders [Deceased] and Brawl [Dead on Arrival].
The big three are Standard, Modern and Commander.
Standard is your ‘basic’…
Actually, you missed one of the eternal formats: Commander.
My primary problem is getting into a game - why can I not just set up a LAN world with my fiance? Where are the options? Just hit play and you’re in some random world? What?
I mean, isn’t destroying some effigy of the opposing school’s team fairly normal? It’s even featured in a Disney movie (see Remember the Titans); a bonfire is a bit odd, as the players don’t really get to be actively involved in the act and thus defeating a bit of the whole masculine posturing intended by such a…
In a society where the employer-employee relationship is treated much the same as feudal lord-serf relationship, the resulting lack of responsibility an employer has over his employers’ lives is astounding.
The problem is that, much like a driver’s license, a job is a privilege, not a right. And while this seems…
I prefer celebrating my freedom to desecrate that flag.
Isn’t it free to play now?
I mean, it seems easy to think of it this way, I suppose. But let’s not pretend that isn’t a straw-man explanation.
It’s really confusing to be a guy right now. Not sure if this hasn’t always been the case or if this confusion is worse than that which women face, but I do know the mixed signals can be frustrating. The…
I suppose the thing here is knowing whether or not your local police are trained in mental health first aid; I know the police in Panama City, FL have received training to both identify and safely handle those having mental health events because the non-profit I worked for did the training.
Simply put, the situation…
I may be derping here, but what I meant is it isn’t part of the main rotation, like Amonkhet or Ixalan. None of the cards printed will be playable outside of formats where they weren’t already playable, just like every other Masters set - so your complaint about counterspells suddenly being a thing in any format is…
This isn’t a primary set, it’s a premium one. It won’t be playable in limited formats. If it were, it would not be the counterspells to worry about - it would be Jace.
Well, a buddy once told me I could look on the bright side of a train wreck, so....
Silver lining: this will only increase his exposure and sub count. Honestly, the fool that thought swatting a kid is irrelevant to me, as it is clearly some sad soul who needs some attention - joke’s on him, though, because his target…
I can imagine there will be a few people there willing to assist in the application thereof, as well.
I scrolled right on past the Cloverfield promotional crap and saw Altered Carbon, thinking “oooohhhh.....”; it wasn’t until I finished marathon-binging it that I realized it was a series, not a movie.
And yes, it is awesome.
I’m confused as to which aspect is new to you: the malware itself using that much processing power, or the entire concept of overworking a processor?
Because neither one is really far-fetched.
