When you’re planning on a merger, you’re required to report it to the FTC and to inform your shareholders. It would be illegal if you kept it a secret. I obviously don’t know the exact law, but it’s like once you come to an agreement you have so many days to announce publicly your intentions to acquire. But yes they

Just for the record, GoW 2018 is an EXCELLENT PC port. The only one that wasn’t good was the Last of US. Sony made good investments in the teams they acquired for PC ports. I suspect all the games you listed will be out in less than 12 months. I think in two years Sony announces day and date PC releases.

Well with mods and everything, I suspect we're going to see lots of content from players to explore.

PC is a good way to go. I predict that in 6 to 12 months, you’ll see Sony releasing games on PC day and date with PS5. They’re clearly going in that direction. The only downside is that frequently PC ports just aren’t consistently great. Sony and MS have done some good ones. But the shedders and stuttering remains an

You can just play it on PC also. I know you need a beefier PC, but the cloud streaming isn’t bad if you have a good connection.

It’s a very important distinction that Sony coined that argument. The reason they used it to argue, was because they didn’t want to admit that the Switch does amazing without ANY COD’s.

You’re totally correct.  But the changes that were made I think really enhance the story overall. But I would also make the argument that 1 doesn’t need any changes.  I’m waiting for 2 to hit PC so I can play it so I have to admit my ignorance. I can’t say if it’s a minority or not. People went nuts for 1. My friends

I haven’t played 2 myself as a dedicated Xbox fanboy (joking). But I heard the criticism. The thing is, generally speaking Craig Maizen seems to be making all the right choices when it comes to appropriate changes. I have a feeling when they get to that point they're going to make changes to the story that make sense.

I agree with you. The reality is that even western development teams didn’t jump on the “copy FF7" bandwagon....which is kind of crazy. Jrpgs have been my most treasured genre. It describes a certain kind of game.

If it doesn't go through, it would be because multiple governments deemed the merger illegal (which I don't think it is). There is no person to blame in this. The entire leadership team at MS would have obviously approved the attempted acquisition after their very robust legal department made an educated guess. Who

They actually said that from the start. They're looking to break up the apple/Google duopoly.  There is an ongoing fight within the industry to try and force apple to allow competing app stores on the platform. I don't know how that fight will end but King would be very valuable in that quest, even if I never have or

To be fair, they might not officially own them yet and Activision may still have publishing rights. But it's shocking not to see some Bungie classics gets ported.

I guess I should have said if it drops by 30%. I honestly have no idea, but I’m largely supportive of them trying something.

I think the answer is nothing, BUT it is inconvenient if you have a real life where your phone matters.

I’m actually split because as a daily warzone player, I encounter cheaters daily. My understanding is that this would cut down on it because once you’re banned, you can’t just fire up a new account. Cheaters ruin the game and I know that no matter what anti cheats they have, it will always be defeated. Having said

I keep saying if I were Jim Ryan, I'd start throwing money at Socom and making something that can compete. They really dropped the ball on that one. But now they need to plan for a world without COD and hope that MS plays nice.

They apparently keep paying Square to keep it off Xbox...then did it with For spoken and FF16...that’s why it’s bizarre reading Jim Ryan’s statement. Its like what planet are living on?

The jobs that require you to do crazy tedious work also don’t have great retention. I love video games and I would NEVER do it!

Feels like you’re using that completely out of context though. He said that was in regards to paying publishers to keep DLC as times exclusives. Sony bought studios this year as well afterall.  Having said that I don’t think all the Sony deals are crazy moves. When Sony pays for a huge portion of Street Fighter 5

That might mean way more if it were still 2001. The number of people who just use mobile now dwarfs PC users and it continues to shrink. Even if they are the market leader in desktops, mobile and tablets will always be bigger.
